| abstract | - The USS Enterprise NCC-1701, under the command of Captain James T. Kirk, visited the planet Beta Theta VII. Captain Kirk beamed down to the planet's surface and was captured by Imperial Klingon agents on the planet. Spock devised a daring plan to rescue Captain Kirk. He put that plan into effect and Kirk was freed. 10 Klingons and 1 Federation security officer from the USS Enterprise were killed in the rescue. The Enterprise then left Beta Theta VII and warped to Cygnius VIII.
