Most of his starts came in 1958, his most successful year. He had a thirteen race streak in the summer in which he finish in the top-ten. That was highlighted by winning at Busti, his only career win. He finished the year strong as well, and despite only competing in twenty-nine of fifty-one races, Rollins' twenty-two top-ten finishes left him 4th in the year end points.

That was highlighted by winning at Busti, his only career win. He finished the year strong as well, and despite only competing in twenty-nine of fifty-one races, Rollins' twenty-two top-ten finishes left him 4th in the year end points. He scaled down over the next two years, earning four top-ten efforts in ten starts in 1959. Then in 1960, he only earned one top-ten finish in four starts. He retired from the sport shortly after that.
