  • Ernest Burrell Baggallay (1879-21 January 1940) was a solicitor and local politician. Born in Kensington, he was the eldest son of Ernest Baggalay (1850-1931), sometime Conservative Party member of parliament and Metropolitan Police magistrate and his wife Emily née Burrell. In 1901 he joined the legal firm of Devonshire Monkland and Co, based in the City of London, and rose to become senior partner in the practice. He served as Mayor of Chelsea in 1919-20. He died after a short illness at his Buckinghamshire home.
