abstract
  • Rahli was a male Zeltron in the employ of the Besadii kajidic on Nal Hutta. He was brought to the Hutt world as a pleasure slave, but managed to win the confidence of his Human master and worm his way into her circle. Given the duty of entertaining alien guests, he used his Zeltron pheromones and personal charm to compel them to share useful information from their own crime families. Realizing Rahli could be useful for more than his body, the Zeltron's master made him one of her agents. When the Human became majordomo to Asaamba Besadii Jubu, a mid-ranking Hutt of the kajidic, Rahli continued to exploit his charm and wit to win over or mine information from allies and enemies alike. The Hutt made him a personal retainer, and Rahli was slowly trusted with more complex and important offworld negotiations. His disarming manner and success in the field eventually elevated him to a third-in-command spot in the Hutt's organization. In 154 ABY, the Balosar antiquities dealer Synix Fer'faloon announced, through intermediaries, that he would sell two highly illegal Sith holocrons on the Coruscant black market. Asaamba, hoping to obtain the holocrons and use them for barter with the One Sith, assigned Rahli to retrieve them. Suspecting correctly that the holocron would draw buyers far more powerful and dangerous than himself, Rahli hired the Dashade bounty hunter Wek Lekatro and bought the services of Ioana Cur'tan, a Mistryl Shadow Guard. Ioana and Rahli succeeded in locating information broker Wonga Vurb, who was acting as an intermediary for the seller. Sending Ioana ahead to take a job as a waitress at Vurb's usual meeting place, the Crimson Countess, the Zeltron met with the Faust and obtained the identity of the seller's middleman, in exchange for a generous payoff and contacts in the Besadii organization. Rahli and Wek went to pursue the lead, leaving Ioana behind to ensure that Vurb did not share the information with anyone else. Rahli and Wek met with Malleigh Rason and the Wookiee Grumyukkan and put in a bid on the holocrons even as Rahli was attempting to identify the owner through other contacts. When he received word that Ioana had been killed in a bar fight and Wonga Vurb fled into hiding, the Zeltron stepped up his efforts. He managed to get the name and location of Synix Fer'faloon, but by the time he found Fer'faloon, the Twi'lek former Jedi Eche Parunam already had the location. Synix gave it to them, trusting the Besadii's generosity if Rahli came out on top. Rahli and Wek waited in ambush and found Eche, pursued by Darth Rayz and Darth Waffe. Rahli dropped a bomb to force the two Sith to detour, then confronted the Twi'lek. When she refused to sell or hand over the holocrons, Rahli and Wek attacked and mortally wounded her, stealing the holocrons. Wek lost a hand in the fight, and he and Rahli doubled up on a swoop to escape. They made it only blocks before being shot down and confronted by Evangelia Maxico and her Mecrosa Order team. In the short fight that followed, Rahli was paralyzed with a toxin-coated needle. Before he could recover, Evangelia stole the holocrons and cut his throat with her lightfoil.
