Born into a Hapan middle class family, Roepoc was forced to hide her Force abilities from everyone except her immediate family due to the Hapan hatred of Jedi and other Force users. When she was 7 years old, Roepoc caused a scene by using the Force during a function at the Fountain Palace. Although the incident was conveniently explained away by her parents, Roepoc was deemed a potential threat by Queen Mother Ni'Korish and was placed under secret surveillance. Life went on as usual, at least until her 18th birthday. While her parents were running an errand, they were killed in a riot that had broken out over Ni'Korish's death. Her younger brother Ragnt was still a minor, so she became his legal guardian.
