Biography
  • Sam Rose is a former NASCAR driver from San Bernardino, CA. He competed in three Sprint Cup Series events in his career. Rose's debut came in 1968, when he competed at Riverside. Starting 40th in the field of forty-four, Rose completed half of the race before a lug nut issue ruined his chances for a top-ten and left him 18th. Rose also raced at Riverside in his lone 1969 race, starting 43rd. Another mechanical mid-race issue doomed Rose again, losing a rear end gear to finish in 27th. Rose's final career race, though, would prove to be his best. Not surprisingly, it came at Riverside, where the driver started 43rd, completed most of the laps and finished a career-best 15th.
