  • Weeds is a dramedy on Showtime, airing since 2005. The show centers on Nancy Botwin, a widowed mother of two in California who deals marijuana to make ends meet. Her sons Silas and Shane (15 and 10 at the start of the series) and mooching brother-in-law, her Rich Bitch friend/nemesis Celia, Celia's long-suffering husband and daughter, her supplier Heylia and grow expert Conrad form the core of the show's Loads and Loads of Characters. And Doug the councilman.
  • A poisonous species of weed is encountered in Metroid Prime Hunters. They are not scannable and appear in the desert area of Alinos and in Ice Hive on Arcterra (in which they mysteriously grow out of metal walls and are of a reddish color). They damage Samus when she comes into contact with them, and can be shot for Energy Capsules and Missile/Universal Ammunition. They are a minor threat. Some variants have what resemble pointy bulbs.
  • "Weeds" is the eleventh episode of the first season of Millennium.

  • Weeds is an American television series, currently comprising six seasons that began airing in August, 2005. The plot revolves around a widowed housewife from an affluent California suburb who becomes an upper middle class marijuana dealer to make ends meet. The season 4 premiere attracted 1.3 million viewers to Showtime, the channel's highest-ever viewership. Season 4 averaged 962,000 viewers. The overhead, satellite picture displayed at the beginning of the show's introduction (Seasons 1-3) is of "Calabasas Hills", a gated community in Calabasas, California.
  • Players can harvest them by using a rake on a Farming patch that has weeds growing in it. Doing so will yield up to three weeds per patch, giving 4 Farming experience each. A fast way to obtain weeds is by raking the flax patch in Miscellania. However, you can only do this until the player's popularity reaches 100% (You can kill citizens to lower it again). Weeds are also needed in the Ratcatchers quest.
  • Some weeds spread mainly by seed. Such weeds should come out before they have a chance to flower and set seed. Ideally such weeds should be out of the garden before they start to flower. Once there are flower buds getting them out is urgent. It is important to learn the different times of year the different weeds flower so you know where to concentrate your effort. Seeding weeds should not go on a compost heap as the seeds can survive there and cause fresh trouble when the compost is spread. An example of a seeding weed in Europe is the dandelion. In this case the root should be taken out as well as the flowers.
  • A fast way to obtain weeds is by raking the flax patch in Miscellania. However, you can only do this until the player's popularity reaches 100% (You can kill citizens to lower it again). Weeds are generally used to make compost. Players can put up to 15 weeds at a time into a Compost Bin, close the lid, and leave the contents to rot. This will take around an hour, after which they can open the lid and retrieve their compost. Weeds are the fastest item to make compost with, because when you use a weed on the compost bin, it will put all 15 weeds at once. Note: this doesn't change the time it takes for it to turn into compost.

  • Weeds is an American television series, currently comprising six seasons that began airing in August, 2005. The plot revolves around a widowed housewife from an affluent California suburb who becomes an upper middle class marijuana dealer to make ends meet. The show began with a 10-episode first season in August 2005, and was the highest rated series for Showtime that year. A 12-episode second season followed in August 2006, and a third season consisting of 15 episodes premiered on August 13, 2007. The season 3 premiere episode attracted 824,000 Showtime subscribers to the show. It was announced on November 5, 2007 that Showtime had picked up the show for a fourth season consisting of 13 episodes which began on June 16, 2008. The season 4 premiere attracted 1.3 million viewers to Showtime, the channel's highest-ever viewership. Season 4 averaged 962,000 viewers. The exteriors for the show are shot almost exclusively in Stevenson Ranch, a suburban area of Santa Clarita Valley, California. The shot of the large fountain and Agrestic sign seen in the introduction of Seasons 1-3 was shot at the corner of Stevenson Ranch Parkway and Holmes Place. The name 'Stevenson Ranch', was digitally replaced with 'Agrestic' and with 'Majestic' in later episodes. The overhead, satellite picture displayed at the beginning of the show's introduction (Seasons 1-3) is of "Calabasas Hills", a gated community in Calabasas, California. Bob Greenblatt, President of Entertainment of Showtime Networks Inc, announced on July 18, 2008 that two more seasons of thirteen episodes will be produced. Weeds is currently filming its seventh season, under the direction of Showtime's new President of Entertainment, David Nevins.

In this case the root should be taken out as well as the flowers. * Perennial weeds that spread by growing horizontally underground’’’ Many of the most troublesome weeds are perennials and grow that way. These weeds will not die unless the underground parts of the plant have been removed or killed. The best is to dig the underground parts of the weed out. If this is impossible or too time consuming try to make sure the tops of the weeds are removed very frequently. No plant can survive if its green parts are regularly taken out. Remember where in the garden a troublesome perennial weed is. Check regularly and frequently to ensure that the weed isn’t coming back. When you see a leaf or a shoot take it out and take out as much of the underground plant as you can. Nasty European examples of weeds with underground parts that are very difficult to kill are stinging nettles and bindweed. The underground parts of these plants can survive for many years in a compost heap and should not be put onto one. * Weeds that spread through making growth above the ground. There are not many of that type. The European creeping buttercup and Creeping Jenny are examples. These plants should come out before they have a chance to grow stolons. Creeping Jenny can rarely be grown as a cultivated plant provided its growth is limited.
