The territory of the province consists solely of the small (ca. 600 miles circumference) island Orgareena in the Gulf of Myrna. Since the Liberation of the Realm from the tyranny of the Haengstyr, Ferdyon formally belonged to Borgon-Dyl. In practice, however, control over the island was scarce at best. Even after the reconquest of the peninsula Varodar bordering the gulf on the Machairas side, Orgareena remained a notorius pirate hideout. That situation began to change after the erection of the Great Temple of Norytton in the Diktyon of the island. Nowadays, Ferdyon draws a lot of pilgrims, and besides, is famous for excellent wine. The castle of Bylreen serves as the administrative centre of the province, which is ruled by Lodytha n’Meerym.
