rdfs:comment
  • Powerglide is a member of Remote Patrol Six. He claims to hate flying as it's "boring" and makes one an "easy target." As a tank-killing A-10 Thunderbolt II, Powerglide prefers to fly as low to the ground as possible, spitting death with his 30 mm GAU-8/A Avenger Gatling-type cannon. As quickly as possible, Powerglide will take the opportunity to transform and engage the enemy hand-to-hand. Powerglide, unlike most Autobots, can fly under his own power, but that doesn't seem to have gone to his pointy head. Give him any excuse and he'll stay on the ground, preferring to remain in the background and not call attention to himself. He's not interested in performing air shows - he just wants to kill Decepticons and go home.

Powerglide is heavily armed with the Gatling-cannon, AGM-65 Maverick air-to-surface missiles, concussion bombs, cluster bombs, Hydra rocket pods, and a nose-mounted thermal beam. However, his armament is focused primarily for air-to-ground attacks. Powerglide has little skill in dog-fighting maneuvers, and is vastly outclassed by Decepticon jets when it comes to air-to-air combat. Powerglide is good, but he lacks confidence, and his dislike of flying prevents him from gaining the experience needed to improve his skills. However, as long as he can remain in the background and let others take the glory, he's fine with doing his part and living to see another day.
