- Early in his career, Canemaker worked as a freelance animator on many Sesame Street animated segments, under different producers and directors. For Derek Lamb, he animated the "Mad Goat Song." For Bruce Cayard, Canemaker animated "Scary Thing" and "Jungle Room" from 1974, and a slew of segments from 1980: "Me and My M," "Wash Your Hands," "Needle and Thread," "Sneeze," and "Hummingbird."
