| abstract | - The story takes place on Korriban, ancient birth place of the sith, where Darth Krayt and his followers of the One Sith, enter the Valley of the Dark Lords. Standing silent, Krayt stands throughout the valley with his loyal protector, Darth Wyyrlok the first. While traveling through the valley, the Sith discovered the ruins of the Korriban Sith Academy that was never discovered for nearly one thousand years. Krayt orders Wyyrlok and his followers to rebuild the academy and also search for young force-sensitives to serve him in the future. Meanwhile, one the planet Ossus, Luke Skywalker and the newly reformed Jedi Order were present in the Jedi Academy where they attend the funeral of Releqy A'Kla, Ta'laam Ranth, Dif Scaur, and Triebakk, four members of the Council that were assassinated on Coruscant. After the funeral, Luke Skywalker and Kyle Katarn had a short discussion about the assassination and that Kyp Durron was on the case in tracking down the assassin. However, Luke sensed that something was rising across the galaxy. On Coruscant underworld, Kyp Durron and his apprentice, Pollux were on the hunt for the assassin. Pollux believed that the assassin should die, but Kyp told him to control his emotions and that sparing an opponent is part of the Jedi Code. Just then, the assassin stood far behind the Jedi, and aims the sniper right at Pollux. Pollux is shot down, forcing Kyp to ignite his lightsaber and face the assassin. The assassin turns away and escapes, forcing Kyp to follow the killer who shot his apprentice. Kyp follows the killer who was approaching the platform. He used the Force to hurl the killer, but the assassin leaps up and ignites two red-colored lightsabers. Kyp was prepared to face the assassin, and the killer is revealed to be Aurra Sing.
