  • Iyuk Keez was a male Ky`Knomi economist from Tyras. Fifteen when his planet joined the Golden Empire, he was already interested in economics and sought to go into banking. After graduating his university with a degree in finance, he earned an entry-level position with the local branch of the Vall`to Sector Bank. After only a few years, however, he was offered a better position as a finance officer with Harnro Shipping. Keez was well thought of at Harnro and eventually became Chief Financial Officer for the Xoquon sector. During that time he earned advanced degrees in management and finance. In 143 ABY he was appointed CFO for the entire corporation. He elected to retire in 147 ABY and undertook a series of lectures at a Tyrasi university which ultimately led to a professorship. During that period he became a correspondent of Zena Cyone, who was drafting her suggestions for corporate sponsorship of exploration and colonization efforts undertaken by the Empire. In 150 ABY, Queen Rin Sakaros made the unusual decision to appoint Keez directly to her Council of Economic Advisors, on the advice of several members of the group (including Cyone) who had been favorably impressed by Keez's corporate success and his lecture series. Well-liked by the other Advisors, Keez immediately drafted several suggestions for involving corporations in the reconstruction of Dolomir, Klee`shlyoo`hshee, and other worlds devastated during the Nightmare War. The year following his appointment, Rin added him to another council: the newly-formed Sovereign's Council, her closest group of personal advisors.
