  • Dave White is a former NASCAR driver from Silver Spring, MD. He competed in seven Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning two top-tens. White's debut came in 1958, when he competed at Raleigh. That race was a disappointment to the driver, losing a rear end gear to finish 38th. However, White ran extremely well at Bridgehampton. White's final five races came during the 1959 season, when he finished a series-best 38th in the points. Not only were his points efforts boosted by his number of starts, but White ran extremely well throughout the entire year. Only a left rear axle issue at Weaverville (29th) placed White lower than 13th for the rest of the year. One of those other four finishes was a 10th place showing in another Weaverville race and a 12th at Winston-Salem in White's final career race.
