Carnotaurus Carnotaurus
rdfs:comment
Carnotaurus is a medium sized carnivore which causes bleed damage type with its bite and claws well known for having excellent night vision and for being aggressive and terrestrial and having a overall stamina of a high metabolic rate. Carnotaurus is a medium size carnotaurine abelisaur from the Late Cretaceous of Argentina. Carnotaurus, the "Meat-eating bull," is a carnivorous ceratosaurian theropod dinosaur that lives in the Lost Valley. It represents a unique group of theropod dinosaurs called abelisaurids, who lived in the late Cretaceous period, roughly between 71 and 65 million years ago, in what is now South America. The most notable feature of this dinosaur are the two small horns above its eyes, the first known carnivore to have this feature. Carnotaurus was a lightly built, bipedal predator, measuring 8 to 9 m (26 to 30 ft) in length and weighing at least 1 metric ton (0.98 long ton; 1.1 short tons). As a theropod, Carnotaurus was highly specialized and distinctive. It had thick horns above the eyes, a feature unseen in all other carnivorous dinosaurs, and a very deep skull sitting on a muscular neck. Carnotaurus was further characterized by small, vestigial forelimbs and long and slender hindlimbs. The skeleton is preserved with extensive skin impressions, showing a mosaic of small, non-overlapping scales measuring approximately 5 mm in diameter. The mosaic was interrupted by large bumps that lined the sides of the animal, and there are no hints of feathers. Carnotaurus, it's name meaning "meat (eating)-bull", referring to its distinct bull-like horns was a large predatory dinosaur, with horns vaguely resembling a bull's. Only one species, Carnotaurus sastrei has been described so far. Carnotaurus lived in Patagonia, Argentina (La Colonia Formation) during the Maastrichtian stage of the Late Cretaceous, and was discovered by José F. Bonaparte, who has uncovered many other South American dinosaurs. Carnotaurus, also known as Carnotaurs, were a species of carnivorous dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous period 72-69.9 million years ago. They appear as the main antagonists in the 2000 Disney CG film Dinosaur, alongside Kron. Real Carnotaurus were 8-metre-long meat-eating dinosaurs from South America, one of a group of theropods called the abelisaurs. While imposing due to the unusual horns over its eyes, Carnotaurus had small arms and clawless fingers, and was lightly built for its size. While some scientists believe that Carnotaurus hunted small animals, others think that it used its jaws to weaken and slash at larger prey. In either case, evidence suggests that it was one of the fastest of all non-bird dinosaurs, running at a speed of up to 31 miles per hour. The function of the horns of Carnotaurus is unknown, as studies show that they were too delicate for use in direct ramming, although it has been suggested that rival Carnotaurus rammed the sides of their heads to avoid fatal drect attacks. Skin impressi thumb Significa toro carnívoro. Este animal tenía unos brazos muy cortos y un cráneo con dos cuernos que le han dado su nombre. Carnotaurus is a large carnivorous dinosaur that was taken by the Noah's Ark Plan personnel to the distant future. They have distinct bull-like horns (hence the "taurus", Greek for "bull", in their name), and appear to exhibit sexual dimorphism. The Carnotaurus lived in the Cretaceous Period. Tatem Games announced on their Facebook page on January 25, 2012 that they were adding a new dinosaur in addition to Utahraptor. Although not officially named Carnotaurus in the announcement, the physical features of the model point to this genus. The exact release date of this dinosaur along with others was currently unknown. This and three other dinosaurs were removed from the June 20 update due to animation glitches and were postponed for a later update of 3-4 weeks after the June 20, 2012 update. Carnotaurus was added along with Gigantoraptor in the March 8, 2013 update for Android and April 4, 2013, for iOS. The Carnotaurus is an animal available on FarmVille. It was originally released on June 16th, 2012 as part of the Dino Lab. It become available as a limited time free gift via wall post share on July 10th, 2012. Carnotaurus was an abelisaur theropod - a distant descendant of Ceratosaurus and a relative of Abelisaurus. <default>Carnotaurus</default> Biological information In Walking with... Carnotaurus /ˌkɑːrnoʊˈtɔːrəs/ is a genus of large theropod dinosaur that lived in South America during the Late Cretaceous period, between about 72 and 69.9 million years ago. The only species is Carnotaurus sastrei. Known from a single well-preserved skeleton, it is one of the best-understood theropods from the Southern Hemisphere. The skeleton, found in 1984, was uncovered in the Chubut Province of Argentina from rocks of the La Colonia Formation. Derived from the Latin carno [carnis] ("flesh") and taurus ("bull"), the name Carnotaurus means "meat-eating bull", alluding to its bull-like horns. Carnotaurus is a derived member of the Abelisauridae, a group of large theropods that occupied the large predatorial niche in the southern Landmasses of Gondwana during the late Cretaceous. The phy Carnotaurus is a villain from the Movie Dinosaur They Appear in Fantasia in the 100 Acre Wood: The Series. Carnotaurus was a lightly built, bipedal predator, measuring 7.9 to 9.1 m (26 to 30 ft) in length and weighing at least 1.35 metric tons (1.33 long tons; 1.49 short tons). The phylogenetic relations of Carnotaurus are uncertain; it may have been closer to either Majungasaurus or Aucasaurus. Carnotaurus was a lightly built, bipedal predator, measuring 8 to 9 m (26 to 30 ft) in length and weighing at least 1.35 metric tons (1.33 long tons; 1.49 short tons). The distinctive horns and the muscular neck may have been used in fighting conspecifics. According to separate studies, rivaling individuals may have combated each other with quick head blows, by slow pushes with the upper sides of their skulls, or by ramming each other head-on, using their horns as shock absorbers. The feeding habits of Carnotaurusremain unclear: some studies suggest the animal was able to hunt down very large prey such as sauropods, while other studies find it preyed mainly on relatively small animals. Carnotaurus was well adapted for running and was possibly one of the fastest large theropods. Carnotaurus was a lightly built, bipedal predator, measuring 8 to 9 m (26 to 30 ft) in length and weighing at least 1 metric ton (0.98 long ton; 1.1 short tons). Carnotaurus was a large theropod, about 9.0 m (30 ft) in length, 3 m tall at the hips, and weighing about 1,600 kg (1.76 tons). The most distinctive features of Carnotaurus are the two thick horns above the eyes, and the extremely reduced forelimbs with four fingers. It is also characterized by its unusually long neck (compared to other theropods), and its small head with box-shaped jaws. The eyes of Carnotaurus faced forward, which is unusual in a dinosaur, and may indicate binocular vision and depth perception. A single nearly complete skeleton has been described including impressions of skin along almost the entire right side, that show Carnotaurus lacked feathers, unlike the more advanced coelurosaurian theropods. Instead, the skin is lined with rows of bumps, which become larger toward the spine. thumb Significa toro carnívoro. Carnotaurus is a medium size carnotaurine abelisaur from the Late Cretaceous of Argentina. Carnotaurus is a medium sized carnivore which causes bleed damage type with its bite and claws well known for having excellent night vision and for being aggressive and terrestrial and having a overall stamina of a high metabolic rate. Carnotaurus was a lightly built, bipedal predator, measuring 7.9 to 9.1 m (26 to 30 ft) in length and weighing at least 1.35 metric tons (1.33 long tons; 1.49 short tons). Carnotaurus was well adapted for running and was possibly one of the fastest large theropods. In game, Carnotaurus was a very large predatory and dangerous dinosaur that proceeded somewhat clumsily around. Like the Allosaurus and Velociraptor, Carnotaurus continuously walks around its environment, never stopping even to rest. Despite its old size, the Carnotaurus will flee if it hears a gunshot at a far distance (Carnotaurs near the coast have been known to run all the way to the edge of the map). When it charges, it was very fast, and will roar and try to bite the hunter before it kills the hunter. Now, it is the size of the Utahraptor and it is slightly faster than the Coelophysis. Although Ace is a Carnotaurus, their Dinosaur King statistics differ. Carnotaurus is a villain from the Movie Dinosaur They Appear in Fantasia in the 100 Acre Wood: The Series. Carnotaurus, also known as Carnotaurs, were a species of carnivorous dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous period 72-69.9 million years ago. They appear as the main antagonists in the 2000 Disney CG film Dinosaur, alongside Kron. The Carnotaurus is an animal available on FarmVille. It was originally released on June 16th, 2012 as part of the Dino Lab. It become available as a limited time free gift via wall post share on July 10th, 2012. Skin impressions show that it had a bumpy skin, without feathers like many other meat-eating dinosaurs. Its name means 'meat bull' in Latin. Carnotaurus was an abelisaur theropod - a distant descendant of Ceratosaurus and a relative of Abelisaurus. <default>Carnotaurus</default> Biological information In Walking with...
