Gorbag – ork, dowódca oddziału z Minas Morgul. Zapewne służył w garnizonie tej twierdzy przez dłuższy czas. In the Books both, Shagrat and Gorbag, consider themselves Uruks.In the Movie trilogy however Shagrat is obviously a huge Uruk-Hai while his counterpart Gorbag rather resembles a lesser Fighting-Orc (though possibly he was just an older somewhat smaller and crooked Uruk too). In the year TA 3000, Gorbag was involved in the Battle of Lam Nheong. He and Lemqote was sent to steal some Elvish Weapons. When their efforts failed, Gorbag, along with 2 of his bodyguards, were the only ones that survived the battle and fled back to Mordor. Despite his failures which angered Mûrazôr, Gorbag continued his guard duty and was promoted to the rank of Captain of Minas Morgul. Gorbag was an Orc captain of Cirith Ungol during the Third Age, originally from Minas Morgul. Gorbag è stato un Capitano degli orchi di Minas Morgul. Er richtete sich auf und hielt in der Hand einen Speer mit breiter Spitze und einem kurzen abgebrochenen Heft. Er hielt ihn kampfbereit. In diesem Augenblick entfuhr ihm ein Zischen, ein Keuchen vor Schmerz und Hass. Schagrat wand sich, flink wie eine Schlange, zur Seite und stieß in der Drehung Gorbag sein Messer in die Kehle. Rasend vor Wut stach Schagrad immer wieder auf den am Boden liegenden Gorbag ein und sprang schließlich auf seinen leblosen Körper und stampfte und trampelte darauf herum. Als sein Zorn endlich befriedigt war, stieß einen Siegesschrei aus, leckte sein mit Orkblut besudeltes Messer ab und verschwand. Gorbag è stato un Capitano degli orchi di Minas Morgul. Nella versione cinematografica di Peter Jackson, i ruoli di Shagrat e Gorbag nella disputa sono invertiti: Shagrat è quello desideroso di tenere per sè la cotta, mentre Gorbag quello che vuole seguire gli ordini alla lettera.
