Throwing Throwing
rdfs:comment
All held items which cannot be used can be thrown. This can be done to transport an item you don't want to carry, disarm an arrow trap, or discard junk. Additionally, throwing items is one of the basic ways to attack a monster (along with using a , or jumping on top of monsters). Pots and skulls will break if they hit an enemy or if they hit a block with anything but the lightest of force. Arrows will be consumed if they hit an enemy (in HD they will be turned into near-useless headless arrows). Until they explode, primed bombs behave like other throwable items. Throwing is a dexterity based weapon proficiency used when fighting with thrown weapons. Throwing also improves your accuracy when throwing other items, such as potions or monster balls. Instead of the usual Marksman skill, it is complemented by Tactics. All thrown weapons have a single die of damage, however all except the stone have very useful other effects. In order to use a thrown weapon, your ammo slot must be empty. See Ranged Weapons for distance modifiers. Featuring: Jameela Green and Daniel Slavin Throwing / Thrown Weapon is equippable by Firion, Onion Knight, Bartz Klauser, Squall Leonhart and Zidane Tribal. Other characters can only use a Thrown Weapon if they trade a Ninja Lore Accessory and pay 1000 gil to the Shop to learn Use Thrown Weapons, and equip it. Thrown Weapons specialize in adding EX Force Absorption, changing the percentage done from 10% upwards to 30%. The downside of Thrown Weapons is BRV reduction. The Japanese letters to recognize a Thrown Weapon are 投てき. Throwing is a quality that can be applied to any melee weapon. A weapon with this property gains a range increment of 10 feet and can be thrown at enemies if the wielding creature is proficient with it. This action is used by clicking the 'throw' button at the bottom of the screen, when something is held in the selected hand. Throwing is a unique gameplay feature of the Disgaea series. Simply put, the action allows humanoid characters (but not monster-types) to toss allies, enemies, and geo symbols over long distances. Different characters have differing limitations on the number of squares and the height to which they can throw. These increased proportionately. The best thrower in Disgaea: Hour of Darkness was Gordon and the Thieves, who could both throw 6 spaces. The Heavy Knight class in later games can throw up to 6 panels. In Disgaea 3, a new feature called Throw and Receive allows the player to throw a character to a Monster and it will propel the character a certain amount of panels. Lobs a battlespike that explodes upon impact, damaging buildings. Since there is no skill that goes with throwing it is generally based on luck. Throwing tends to be much much more accurate the better your skill is with the throwing item in question, if no skill is applicable it's either entirely luck based or governed by strength, dexterity, and possibly unarmed. Throwing is one way to get food early in the game as a new player can pick up a rock and kill a squirrel with it. Throwing is also based on line of sight. If there is a tree in your way the item you throw will usually hit the tree and stop though sometimes it will pass the tree. Even if you almost kill a bird or squirrel when it is asleep dont give up so easily, throw a rock at it to satisfy your anger and you might even hit and kill the bird or squirrel. Having a higher skill in Throwing will cause thrown projectiles to cause more damage upon striking an opponent. Furthermore, some puzzles can be solved by using Throwing to hit a distant object. The capacity to hurl knives, rocks, grenades or any other potentially dangerous object with accuracy. Throwing was the act of losing a game on purpose. In 2370, Quark suggested that Julian Bashir throw his darts match against Miles O'Brien so that the Bajoran War Orphans Fund would reap all the profits that would otherwise have gone to those gambling on Bashir to win. Bashir refused. (DS9: "Rivals") Throwing is a special ability that Tak has. Throwing is basically putting a small amount of Magic on a weapon, and throwing it at an enemy. Although most enemies are not hurt, they are stunned. Being stunned, an enemy is open for attack. In fact, some enemies have to be stunned to be killed. Later, Tak can hold the magic and charge it, which results in a bigger throw, and a better stun. Later on, Tak gains the Juju Power to use Mana to supercharge his throw. This allows a large area of enemies being stunned. Throwing is an in-game mechanic which allows Players to remove items from their Inventory. Throwing can mean both disposing of items and throwing projectiles (e.g. Snowballs). Throwing is a skill in Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. It was called Missiles late in the Van Buren design schedule. In Fallout 3, the throwing skill has been removed and parts of the skill, like grenades, has been moved to the explosives skill.

Weapon skills (bow, axe, sword etc) all increase by throwing the weapon, as well as the obvious melee attacks. Bow skill is of course increased by shooting arrows. Melee type weapon skills such as axe, sword, spear etc. also increase by throwing the weapon. Club skill increases by throwing clubs or even plain rocks. So in this way the skill can be trained without actually engaging an NPC or animal. (Confirmed for 3.16) Throwing is a special ability that Tak has. Featuring: Jameela Green and Daniel Slavin Throwing is a quality that can be applied to any melee weapon. A weapon with this property gains a range increment of 10 feet and can be thrown at enemies if the wielding creature is proficient with it. This action is used by clicking the 'throw' button at the bottom of the screen, when something is held in the selected hand. Lobs a battlespike that explodes upon impact, damaging buildings. Throwing is a skill in Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics. It was called Missiles late in the Van Buren design schedule. In Fallout 3, the throwing skill has been removed and parts of the skill, like grenades, has been moved to the explosives skill. The capacity to hurl knives, rocks, grenades or any other potentially dangerous object with accuracy. Throwing / Thrown Weapon is equippable by Firion, Onion Knight, Bartz Klauser, Squall Leonhart and Zidane Tribal. Throwing is an in-game mechanic which allows Players to remove items from their Inventory. Throwing can mean both disposing of items and throwing projectiles (e.g. Snowballs). Having a higher skill in Throwing will cause thrown projectiles to cause more damage upon striking an opponent. Furthermore, some puzzles can be solved by using Throwing to hit a distant object. The Class World and the Chara World allow the player to increase a characters throwing range up to 2 panels. The Cheerleader class and the Professor class have a skill called Amazing Throw which increases throwing range up to 3 panels. In Disgaea 4, when throwing a character on to a Giant Monster, the Monster propels it to double of its Throw and Receive range. In Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness, the player can now throw freely within a character's throwing range without being restricted to throw straight or diagonal throw. Bills in the Dark Assembly can be passed to increase Throwing Range by 2 and the effects will carry over throughout every reincarnation. Other items can be thrown repeatedly and can kill an unlimited number of monsters. The only practical use of the stone is as a projectile and many other objects can also be used similarly, for example flares, keys, chests, and corpses. The distance and speed with which an item can be thrown is dependant on the item's weight, with light objects travelling further and faster than heavy ones. Regardless of weight, all items will do 1 point of damage to enemies upon contact. Functional objects, such as weapons, can't be thrown in the same manner. However crouching and pressing the action button will release the item and send it slightly forward, which may be enough to send it off a ledge. (DS9: "Rivals")
