Haliians were a sentient, humanoid species. By 2368, at least one Haliian, Aquiel Uhnari, served in the Federation Starfleet. Externally, Haliians were distinguished by a slight bulge and indentation above each eyebrow and a crevice between the brows, on the bridge of the nose. The Haliians were a telepathic species, although they were limited to person to person empathy. A special crystal called a canar, when held by an Haliian, had the potential to greatly increase their telepathic abilities and allow them to "bond" with others and share their thoughts. One of their holidays was the Batarael, at which a traditional song called the Horath was sung. (TNG: "Aquiel") Zie ook: Haliian taal The Haliians are a telepathic species, although they are limited to person to person empathy. A special crystal called a canar has the potential to greatly increase their telepathic abilities and allow them to "bond" with others and share their thoughts. One of their holidays is the Batarael, at which a traditional song called the Horath is sung. Aquiel Uhnari was a Haliian. (TNG episode: "Aquiel") Haliians were a sentient, humanoid species. (TNG: "Aquiel" ) According to StarTrek.com [1] and the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 323) , the homeworld of the Haliians was named Halii. According to the script for this episode, the species' name was Hahliian. It was pronounced as "hah-LEE-in". [2]
