Carl Sagan Carl Sagan Carl Sagan Carl Sagan
rdfs:comment
Carl Sagan was a prominent astrobiologist and promoter of SETI. He also helped Frank Drake write the Arecibo Observatory message that was beamed into space in 1974. He also was famous for writing the book Pale Blue Dot which was his vision for the human race in the future. En la Universidad Cornell, Carl Sagan fue el primer científico en ocupar la Cátedra David Duncan de Astronomía y Ciencias del Espacio, creada en 1976, y fue Director del Laboratorio de Estudios Planetarios. In "Airport '07", Peter Griffin watches an episode of the Sagan-hosted Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, a version edited for rednecks. All statements that conflict with the creationist view of the world are edited out and replaced. Sagan states that our planet is four—hundreds and hundreds of years old, that scientists determine the universe was created by the Godig Bang, and that if one looks at the bones of a Jesusnasaurus Rex, it’s clear by the use of carbon-dating that Mountain Dew is the best soda ever made. Carl Sagan (1934 - 1996) was an American scientist on the fields of astronomy and astrophysics and a science promoter, much known for his TV series Cosmos and the book of the same name. He was famous for exobiology and for S.E.T.I. He also write a novel called Contact. Upon returning to 1931 from 1986B, Marty convinced Citizen Brown to use the alias. Marty later used the alias over the phone to get Edna Strickland to confess to being the speakeasy arsonist. After Citizen Brown erases from existence, Doc resumes the alias for the rest of the mission. In 1986, when Marty McFly turned on the television in Doc's garage, the voice of Carl Sagan could be heard. (SG1: "Thor's Hammer", "Thor's Chariot")kategori:Amerikanerkategori:Nämnd endast SG-1 karaktär Carl Edward Sagan (9 November 1934 – 20 December 1996) was a male Human astronomer, astrochemist, and a highly successful popularizer of astronomy, astrophysics, and other natural sciences. He pioneered exobiology and promoted the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI). Sagan frequently advocated skeptical inquiry, humanism, and the scientific method. In a March 18, 2014 video for the New York Daily News, a viewer asks Kermit the Frog, "why do you sound exactly like Carl Sagan? Or is it that Carl Sagan sounds exactly like you?" Kermit responds, "the reason that Carl and I sound alike is because... we are one and the same." In 1982, Sagan was the guest of honor at the George Pal Lecture on Fantasy Film; two years later, that role was filled by Jim Henson. Carl Sagan was born in Brooklyn, New York. He studied at the University of Chicago, where he received a bachelor's degree (1955) and a master's degree (1956) in physics, before earning his doctorate (1960) in astronomy and astrophysics. He taught at Harvard University until 1968, when he moved to Cornell University. He worked for NASA on the Viking and Mariner programs. He made new discoveries about Venus and its atmosphere. He helped to create messages for alien civilizations which were attached to space probes launched in 1972 and 1977. On the planet Mars, the Mars Historical Preservation Society put a plaque featuring a quote from him at the site of a memorial to him, a "Mars Heritage Site". The quote read "Whatever the reason you're on Mars, I'm glad you're there, and I wish I was with you." In 1990, Candice Bergen introduced Sagan in a segment for The Earth Day Special in which he explains to a crowd how works. The Muppets also appeared in the special in a segment about pollution and animal extinction. For television viewers, Sagan is remembered both for his recurring appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and his PBS documentary series Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, written with his wife, Ann Druyan. The couple worked together on many occasions to communicate science to the public, and Druyan still does to this day, having fielded a comment from Sesame Street writer Emily Perl Kingsley on one occasion. (VIDEO) Sagan was the author of several books, only one of which was a work of fiction. His 1985 novel Contact was made into a movie in 1997 starring Jodie Foster, but not before several years of trying to turn it into a television series with Francis Ford Coppola, which was to have been produced by Children's Television Workshop. In 1982, Sagan was the guest of honor at the George Pal Lecture on Fantasy Film; two years later, that role was filled by Jim Henson. Carl Sagan (1934 - 1996) was an American scientist on the fields of astronomy and astrophysics and a science promoter, much known for his TV series Cosmos and the book of the same name. Commander Melody Sawyer misremembered this comment as claiming alien beings would look like petunias. (TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky) Terraformer Pascal Saadya would often interact with a holographic recreation of Sagan during his work terraforming the planet Venus. (SCE - Ishtar Rising eBook: Book 1) The Sagan-class of ships is presumably named in Sagan's honor. Carl Sagan fue un astrónomo estadounidense.
