Collins formed his first band, The Pacesetters, in 1968, along with his brother, Phelps "Catfish" Collins, on guitar, Frankie "Kash" Waddy on drums, and Philippe Wynne. From 1969 to 1971, the band performed as the accompaniment for James Brown, renaming themselves to The J.B.'s . After briefly creating a new band, House Guests and releasing several singles, Collins joined George Clinton's Parliament-Funkadelic at the behest of singer and future Parliament member Mallia Franklin. Four years later, along with a number of other Parliament members, Collins formed Bootsy's Rubber Band, a separate touring unit of Clinton's collective. His first five albums were associated with the Warner Bros. Records music label, branching out to different labels by the late '80s and early '90s. Since then, Col Bootsy Collins is a great Funk Mage, skillfully wielding such techniques as the Slap Bass and Funky Groove. His mighty staff, the Space Bass, is feared throughout the land. n16:abstract
William „Bootsy“ Collins (* 26. William "Bootsy" Collins (born October 26, 1951 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is a funk bassist, singer, and songwriter. Rising to prominence with James Brown in the late 1960s, and with Parliament-Funkadelic in the '70s, Collins' driving bass guitar and humorous vocals established him as one of the leading names in funk. His first five albums were associated with the Warner Bros. Records music label, branching out to different labels by the late '80s and early '90s. Since then, Collins has made a myriad of collaborations with different artists and projects, culminating in the founding of "Funk University", an online-only bass-guitar school. Along with 15 other members of Parliament/Funkadelic, Collins was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. __NOEDITSECTION__ Image:Information-silk.png|Character Template rect 0 0 20 20 Staff Template desc none Bootsy Collins Real Name Unknown Job Titles Voice Actor Gender First publication Unknown miniatur|Das Logo von Space 103.2 Bootsy Collins ist ein Radiomoderator aus Grand Theft Auto V, der Space 103.2 präsentiert. It was with Clinton that he learned the devious plot of Sir Nose D'Voiddofunk. Even though Sir Nose was converted to the power of the funk, he turned away from the all powerful Funk. It took the power of Dr. Funkenstein, Stachile, and the One Nation Under a Groove to summon the Mothership and restore the all powerful funk the the world. After this, George Clinton proclaimed Bootsy a master Funk Mage for his incredible rhythm and funky grooves. Bootsy then formed a clan, the Rubber Band. They continued the study of Funk for many years.
