Ulysses (ユリシーズ Yurishīzu, 13, 21 & Movie) - A Ulysses-themed sea snake monster who became the prophet Godradamus (ゴッドラダムス Goddoradamusu). Ulysses is The Natural Born Leader of the group. Ulysses, the central character in the 'Apes' computer game, crash-landed on a planet of Apes and was taken captive to the Ape City. (The introduction to the game can be viewed here) His crew-mates having all been killed, Ulysses was allowed to escape his prison cell when he mysteriously found a key hidden with his food. After his escape, he met with the leaders of the human resistance, including Jonah, Nova, Bosko and Mathias, who regarded him as the saviour foretold, who would lead the humans to victory. After recovering the three ancient artifacts left to the survivors of the human race, a map revealed the location of the Statue of Liberty. Here, Ulysses discovered the full history of the downfall of humanity, and found that there was another tribe of humans living in vast bunkers deep u Alias No information Origin No information Occupation No information Powers/Skills No information Hobby No information Goals No information Type of Villain No information Ulysses is the central antagonist and character of the final expansion for the video game Fallout: New Vegas called "Lonesome Road". He is the mysterious archenemy and dark counterpart of the Courier (the main character), though all that is initially known is that Ulysses was originally the Courier who was supposed to deliver the Platinum Chip to Mr. House, but deliberately turned down the job when he saw that the Courier's name was the next one on the list of who would deliver packages, thus being the cause of everything that happens to the player during the game. Oh wait. (ENT: ) Ulysses was the name of a thoroughbred horse that lived in the Stables stables at the Collinwood estate in Collinsport, Maine. In June of 1971, Quentin Collins took Ulysses out for a ride. He ran across the stable-hand, Gerard Stiles, while simultaneously suffering from a vision of his past life as Charles Collins. Ulysses reared, throwing Quentin to the ground. Quentin injured his leg and walked with a limp for the rest of the afternoon. Ulysses is an Agori of the Electric tribe of Amphron. Ulysses was first seen attempting to recruit Xeno to be their Champion. He was next seen aiding Xeno in killing a large number of Vorox that were set up as a trap for Xeno, set by Le Chiffre. After the trap, Xeno and Ulysses were teleported in the middle of the desert and made their way back to Amphron. Ulysses was a homeless child on the streets of Rotterdam. He was first introduced in Ender's Shadow. Image:SummonIconUlysses.gif Ulysses is a Summon sequence of the Mars element found only in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. When two Mars Djinn and two Mercury Djinn are on standby, and Ulysses’ Summon Tablet has been collected, the Ulysses Summon sequence can be activated. It resembles a glowing card, transforming into a Japanese-themed mage, that summons six slips of glowing paper, each one becoming a giant scissor-like object that bites and crunches the enemy party. It is highly likely that the slips of paper thrown by Ulysses are japanese talismans known as ofuda. The Ulysses is a submarine vehicle from the surface world. It is developed by Whitmore Industries to serve as the primary transportation vessel in the expedition to find Atlantis. The ship serves as an iconic image in the promotion of Atlantis: The Lost Empire. The Ulysses is massive, much larger than the average submarine in that time. It is big enough to house up to two hundred passengers and numerous other vehicles while still maintaining some moving space within. The bridge is located within a glass enclosure at the front of the ship, the glass thick enough to withstand immense pressure. Critics and several species of chimpanzees consider Ulysses to be one of the greatest novels ever “written”. Others, usually the ones not bribed by Joyce, consider it a dirty con engineered by a sly confidence man looking to make his mark on the streets. Conservatives dislike Ulysses for its lewd subject matter. Liberals dislike the book for its burdensome weight. Ulysses is a weapon usable by Setzer, Balthier, Sazh, and Magitek Armor, and provides +10 Attack. Ulysses was a high-ranking police officer within the Denver Police Department, as well as a cyborg commander of World Marshal Inc. His cyborg serial code was 573 52211 2617. Ulysses is a courier and former frumentarius of Caesar's Legion. In 2281, he was one of six couriers hired by Victor to carry strange packages to the Strip North Gate, but his delivery was left to the Courier after Ulysses' mysterious disappearance. Ulysses was a noble and devoted King. He fought with the Greeks against the Trojans in the Trojan War, which Xena and Gabrielle were also at the heart of. Once the war at Troy had finished, he soughted out refuge in a cave, which happened to be inhabited by Polyphemus, the cyclops son of Poseidon. In the fight with Polyphemus, Ulysses managed to blind him, a mutual trait shared with Xena, of whom had also blinded a cyclops. Upon leaving the cave, he was told that his wife, Penelope, had been killed in a shipwreck that was too violent to survive. He was then prevented from returning home to Ithaca (which was presumably without a ruler) by Poseidon, as a punishment for blinding Polyphemus. Ulysses is an armorsmith in Might and Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven. He can be found in the Metalweave Armory in Ironfist. As an armorsmith, he buys, sells, identifies, and repairs armor. He usually sells second-level leather armor, chain armor, shields, helms and gauntlets, and has specials on third-level leather armor, helms, and gauntlets. Ulysses is the sixth alien in Tank 3. He shoots electric balls (only two, unlike Destructor firing 3 rockets) to kill fish. When you shoot the electric ball, it will not be destroyed, but will go in another direction. Any fish it touches will kill it, so hopefully you can deflect the electricity back to Ulysses to inflict more damage. In Tank 4, he is teamed up with Destructor. Ulysses is a Goliath, tired of life on Pandora. He has made previous attempts at leaving, but was thwarted when his fellow bandits stole his lunar supply beacon. He requests the Vault Hunters' help in retrieving it, along with his pet fish, Frederick. After returning and placing the beacon, Ulysses becomes ecstatic now that he will finally be able to leave... only to get smashed by the Hyperion cargo container summoned by the lunar supply beacon. He is located behind a building to the north on the top of The Buzzard Nest in Sawtooth Cauldron. Sometime before the fall of Greece, Ulysses was transported through the Stargate to the Goa'uld graveyard world of Kar'tek where he made friends with the native Volca even using some form of technology to give them a natural ability to phase through solid objects; this technology was based on an electronic device which seemed similar to that of the Tollans though less powerful. Ulysses kept himself hidden within the rock for many years before SG-1 came to the planet. Ulysses is a powerful cyclops with a large cyan eye. He has a large, gray, muscular body and a slightly hunched back. Teeth-like protrusions are seen on his mouth. It is possible that he may be as much a golem as he is a cyclops, seeing as he appears to be made of dried mud or stone. He has the ability to conjure and launch concentrated spheres of dark magic, or "energy balls", at his enemies. Ulysses is a novel by James Joyce Image:Nuvola apps bookcase.png This article is a stub. You can help the My English Wiki by [ expanding it]. (ENT: "Shuttlepod One") James Joyce's Ulysses (no, not that Ulysses, nor that one), despite having a reputation for being unreadable (though a degree in literature or a working knowledge of Classical Mythology, William Shakespeare, modernism and Irish political history do help) is still among the most important novels since Don Quixote, influencing every writer from Stephen King to Salman Rushdie. It was first published in serialized form from 1918 to 1920. Then collected in book form and republished in 1922. The End. The full novel is public domain in most parts of the world, and can be found here. Ulysses was one of the first Time Lords to give himself a new name, which he picked from an Earth adventurer. It was on Earth that he married Penelope Gate, a human from 1883. Ulysses and Penelope were friends of Mr Saldaamir and the three of them often went exploring together. Ulysses, Saldaamir and Penelope also associated themselves with Lady Larna, who was from their future. Unbeknownst to the High Council, Penelope gave birth to a son. In late 2151 Malcolm Reed took a copy of Ulysses with him to read on the return trip to Enterprise NX-01 aboard Shuttlepod 1. Commander Trip Tucker remarked that he'd "rather realign every microcircuit on this shuttle than try to wade through that baby". (ENT: "Shuttlepod One") In 2366, Captain Jean-Luc Picard took hardcover editions of Ulysses and Ethics, Sophistry and the Alternate Universe with him on his vacation to Risa. Commander William T. Riker disagreed with the captain in this instance as he didn't think of those books as "light reading". (TNG: "Captain's Holiday" ) Xena and Gabrielle encounter pirates, the sea god Poseidon and the alluring Sirens when they help Ulysses sail home to Ithaca to re-claim his kingdom.

Etahy took Daniel Jackson to see Ulysses after the rest of SG-1 had been captured to seek his help. Although Ulysses did not initially seem happy to see Daniel, after questioning him on the state of Earth he seemd to warm up to him slightly, going so far as to tell him of his past. He gave Jackson the phase shift device he had and informed him that it would only last for five minutes, and demanding that he not let it fall into Goa'uld hands lest they reverse-engineered it. Shortly afterwards, Daniel Jackson and Etahy managed to use their phase-shifting ability to free SG-1 and Etahy's family. During the course of these events, they believed they had killed Mars—though he actually survived—and so afterwards planned to rebuild their government. On Daniel Jackson's suggestion, Etahy led Mars's former Jaffa to Ulysses so that he could help them in this regard. (SG1: "Fall of Rome 1") Ulysses (ユリシーズ Yurishīzu, 13, 21 & Movie) - A Ulysses-themed sea snake monster who became the prophet Godradamus (ゴッドラダムス Goddoradamusu). (TNG: "Captain's Holiday" ) Image:SummonIconUlysses.gif Ulysses is a Summon sequence of the Mars element found only in Golden Sun: The Lost Age. Ulysses has a base Mars power of 160 and also does additional damage equivalent to 12% of the enemy’s maximum HP. In addition, there is a small chance that each foe hit will lose its next turn in battle. Ulysses, however, is not automatically summonable once one collects the required Djinn. Ulysses can only be summoned once the Summon Tablet containing the sequence has been found and collected in the Izumo Ruins. This sequence, along with the rest of the dungeon, can only be found with the Sand Psynergy. Unlike the rest of the catacombs, however, the Parch Psynergy is also needed to obtain the Summon Tablet. Ulysses is not considered a very useful Summon sequence; it does roughly 2/3rds the damage as Meteor, which uses the same number of Djinn for activation, and its additional effect does not activate often enough to make up for the lack of damage. What would make it useful as an alternative to Meteor is that it uses two Mars Djinn and two Mercury Djinn; a Mars Adept casting Ulysses would only need two Mars Djinn on standby to summon Ulysses while the rest of that adept’s Mars Djinn would be Set and therefore provide statistical boosts and a better class to that Adept (it can happen that an Adept with four Djinn on standby may be KO’ed before he can use those standby Djinn for summoning due to his statistical weakness). This also makes it more available than Meteor for random battles. It is probably most useful in the battle with Poseidon where it can be used more frequently than Meteor while also making use of Mercury Djinn that would otherwise be wasted on the less effective Boreas. W końcu dotarł do nadal aktywnej stacji meteorologicznej X-17. Uratował Christine z placówki medycznej Y-17 i zabrał ją do pobliskiej jaskinii. Przybył do Primm aby podpisać umowę i zobaczyć listę pozostałych kurierów zanim zacznie pracę. Nash poinformował go, że Kurier żyje. When fellow Time Lord Marnal threatened to expose them, they used the telepathic circuits of his TARDIS to wipe his memory and dumped him on Earth in England, 1883 with Penelope's mother. (SG1: "Stargate SG-1: Fall of Rome") The Ulysses is a submarine vehicle from the surface world. Although designed primarily for exploration, the Ulysses was also designed for combat in the event that it was ever threatened on its travels. It was armed with several torpedo launchers for self-defence, and had a capacity for roughly thirty heavily-armed Sub-pods in the event of attack. It also housed at least four Aqua-Evacs if it were necessary for the crew to abandon ship. The Ulysses was featured in Atlantis: The Lost Empire, during which the expedition encountered the Leviathan as it neared the gateway to Atlantis. In the battle that ensued, the crew fought to free the Ulysses from the Leviathan's grasp, and its fleet of sub-pods fought to ward the mechanical terror off to buy the sub time to escape. While the submarine was designed to withstand a great deal of damage, it was clearly not able to take on the energy discharges from the Leviathan. The blasts proved to be too much, forcing the crew to abandon ship before it was ultimately destroyed by one final energy discharge. Ulysses is a courier and former frumentarius of Caesar's Legion. In 2281, he was one of six couriers hired by Victor to carry strange packages to the Strip North Gate, but his delivery was left to the Courier after Ulysses' mysterious disappearance. Ulysses was a homeless child on the streets of Rotterdam. He was first introduced in Ender's Shadow. James Joyce's Ulysses (no, not that Ulysses, nor that one), despite having a reputation for being unreadable (though a degree in literature or a working knowledge of Classical Mythology, William Shakespeare, modernism and Irish political history do help) is still among the most important novels since Don Quixote, influencing every writer from Stephen King to Salman Rushdie. It was first published in serialized form from 1918 to 1920. Then collected in book form and republished in 1922. The actual story can be jotted on the back of a matchbook. Taking place in a single day - June 16th 1904 - in Dublin, Ulysses follows the daily routine of three people: young and jaded would-be artist Stephen Dedalus, passive outsider Leopold Bloom and his sensual, unfaithful wife Molly. As Stephen and Leopold wander the streets of Dublin, Molly lies in bed all day and cheats on her husband. Eventually, Leopold saves Stephen from a beating at the hands of British soldiers and invites him home to recuperate. Stephen visits his home, but declines to stay the night and Leopold joins Molly in bed. The End. The treat of the novel is in its style and the rendering of the characters in remarkable detail, often using their direct Inner Monologue, or having their style of thought influence the third-person perspective. Their meals, visits to the bathroom, work, affairs, prejudices, fantasies, are all recorded. Nothing is spared. Every chapter mimics, parallels and/or parodies a section of Homer's Odyssey (for example, Ulysses' battle with the Cyclops becomes the Jewish Leopold debating religion and politics with a raving, bigoted nationalist with a glass eye). Every chapter is also a literary experiment, where Joyce breaks every rule of novel writing. It's fair to say that the novel is 700 pages of equal parts gibberish and blarney, but because of the strict thematic framework, it's actually possible for determined literature geeks to get their brain around it. More details here if you need 'em. The full novel is public domain in most parts of the world, and can be found here. Ulysses was initially conceived (by the developers) as a companion/sidekick/follower character who was aligned with Caesar's Legion, but for various reasons he was not implemented in the final game. However, he was left on one of the playing cards included in the special limited–edition release of the game, which each featured a character from the game corresponding to a particular card. On the card Ulysses was shown facing backward wearing an overcoat with the original American flag on it and carrying a pole with a golden eagle figure on top of it. This was how players first found out about his mysterious existence, and when asked about it the creators said that Ulysses, had he been included in the game, would have been deeply involved in several parts of the overall story, and “might” be incorporated in a future DLC. When the first expansion, ‘’Dead Money’’, was released, the references and foreshadowing towards the eventual appearance of Ulysses were overt; Christine Royce, one of the allies who eventually assists the player in killing Father Elijah, mentions that she had met another Courier before, who had also saved her, and in the ending sequence, it is said that Christine would later hear stories about a great battle between the two Couriers at a place called “The Divide”. The same is said for another character, Dog/God, who otherwise has nothing whatsoever to do with Ulysses. In the second DLC, ‘’Honest Hearts’’, Joshua Graham, upon learning of the player’s identity as a courier, says that he had been expecting another courier who would have approached him much differently, implying that Ulysses, who works for Caesar, was someone who would try to assassinate him. In press releases prior to the release of the third DLC, ‘’Old World Blues’’, it was announced that Ulysses would be making an appearance, and concept art was released finally showing his face. The concept art also showed three different versions of his outfit, with the American flag, the Caesar’s Legion flag, and the NCR flag on the back of each, respectively, leading to speculation that the affiliation of Ulysses would automatically be the opposite of whatever side the player had chosen. When the expansion was released, it turned out that Ulysses did not actually appear in it, but could be heard in audio–tapes found at a cave called “Ulysses’ Point” where he could be heard talking to Christine Royce (who also had previously been claimed to be making a direct appearance in this DLC), whom he had saved from Father Elijah and The Think–Tanks prior to the events of all the expansions, telling her that he was going off to search for another courier with whom he had a history, seeking “an ending to things.” Paintings in the image of his American flag can also be found at several spots around the Big MT, indicating that Ulysses had been exploring around there just like the Courier. It was very clear by this point that the character of Ulysses had been completely re–purposed from his original role as a companion. In ‘’Lonesome Road’’, Ulysses calls out the Courier via radio signal (which is how all the DLCs start), leading them to the “Canyon Wreckage” on the Western border of the Mojave Wasteland, which is the entrance to the completely ruined, inhospitable place that is the Divide. Several nuclear bombs detonated in the Divide (recently, not when all the other bombs fell), and there are still a number of smaller undetonated warheads scattered around. Ulysses speaks to the Courier through ED-E the Enclave Eye robot and basically dares the Courier to pursue him to his lair at the end of the Divide’s “road”. When finally confronted, Ulysses is revealed to be disfigured and slightly mutated due to living in the irradiated Divide, and is wearing a gas mask, intentionally subverting the player’s expectations of what he would look like. Data found around the Divide reveals that Ulysses was originally part of a tribe called the Twisted Hairs, which was absorbed into Caesar’s Legion and whose ways also influenced the White Legs, and that he had since left the Legion and was living in an independent settlement to the West of the playable game world. Some time before the start of the game, the Courier unwittingly delivered some device that detonated the dormant bombs there, destroying Ulysses’ home, without even knowing what the package was at the time. As revenge, he plans to use the rest of the missiles to bomb the Mojave Wasteland, thus destroying the other Courier’s home. Like most enemy characters in the series, Ulysses can optionally be convinced in the error of his ways instead of killed. If this is accomplished, he helps the Courier fight off a large group of “Marked Men” attacking the temple before using ED–E to deactivate the missile launch and escaping, after which he exiles himself the the wreckage near the entrance to the Divide. Otherwise, he is by far the most powerful boss in the game, with over 1,000 HP at the highest level and a large supply of healing resources. In fact, he has 10 points for every S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attribute, which hadn’t been seen in the series since Frank Horrigan. Ulysses is a weapon usable by Setzer, Balthier, Sazh, and Magitek Armor, and provides +10 Attack. Oh wait. Ulysses ist ein irdischer Roman des frühen 20. Here, Ulysses discovered the full history of the downfall of humanity, and found that there was another tribe of humans living in vast bunkers deep underground. Persuading these humans to unite with the resistance under Mathias' leadership, Ulysses broke into a meeting of the Ape Council to expose the secret plotting of General Ursus to genetically enhance the gorilla race and bring about a gorilla society superior to all other species, and also to ask for the freedom of Nova. Having been successful, Ulysses and Nova fled, promising never to return to the Ape city. Approximately a year later, Xena and Gabrielle found Ulysses in an unfair fight with some pirates, which prompts them to help him even the odds. After the battle, Ulysses explains who he is and that he is trying to return home to his kingdom. Poseidon appears to warn Xena to keep out of this dispute. Xena and Gabrielle volunteer to aid Ulysses in his quest. The trio commandeer a boat and set sail for Ithaca. They bravely face all of the obstacles that Poseidon throws at them - Sirens, whirlpools and ferocious weather. During this journey, Ulysses begins to develop feelings for Xena. The two share a kiss and Ulysses asks Xena to consider staying in Ithica for a while: Xena does not explicitly express her feelings about Ulysses, but she says she will think about it. Gabrielle assures her friend that Ulysses' feelings are clear and that if being with him will make Xena happy, Gabrielle will be happy too. Xena admits that Gabrielle taught her to love again and it seems that perhaps the heroine and Ulysses will find happiness. However, upon reaching Ithaca, Ulysses learns that Penelope is in fact alive and well. In order to appease the raucous pirates (but still prevent anyone from seizing the throne) Penelope is holding a competition, the winner of which will become the King of Ithaca. The challenge is to string the Bow of Ulysses, a task which seems easy enough, despite stories that Ulysses himself is the only person able to string and use the bow. Meanwhile Ulysses, Xena and Gabrielle have sneaked into the castle. When they have a moment alone, Ulysses assures Xena that Penelope being alive does not affect his feelings, but Xena puts on an act of sneering condescension, scoffing at Ulysses and saying "You're not my type." He sees through her ploy but is still hurt and they continue their infiltration. Ulysses poses as a peasant and after several pirates have tried and failed is given the chance to string the bow. After a long struggle (and some secret help from Xena) he strings the bow. A fight ensues and eventually the pirates flee. Xena and Gabrielle find a crew and are packing up the ship to leave when Ulysses boards and tells Xena that he figured out that she was tricking him in order to give him a chance to be reunited with his wife, but that the plan backfired: Ulysses confesses that he loves Xena more than ever for giving him that chance when her own feelings were at stake. However, Xena insists that Ithica needs Ulysses and that she's sure he will forget falling in love with her. Ulysses relents, though still firm in his belief that he will not forget Xena and that she won't forget him. Xena confesses to Gabrielle that she is sad but will be all right. She is happy that at least she could help someone she cared for and that is the greatest thing one can do in their life. Ulysses was the name of a thoroughbred horse that lived in the Stables stables at the Collinwood estate in Collinsport, Maine.
