Brontes was a Cyclops in Greek mythology. He was the son of Ouranos and Gaia and the brother of two other Cyclopes; Arges and Sterope. His other siblings included the Hecatoncheires and Titans. The Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires were imprisoned in Tartaros by their father for their appearance. In a bid to overthrow his father Cronus promised to free his brothers. However, he failed to do so. They were eventually freed by their nephews Zeus, Poseidon and Hades, whom they aided in the Titanomachy. "Brontes" means "thunder". Brontes is a Bakugan. It evolved into Mega Brontes before the start of the anime series Bakugan: New Vestroia. Im Anime war Brontes ein Haos Bakugan, das in Staffel zwei erschien (Bakugan-Neu Vestroia). Es war das Partner Bakugan von Volt, dem Haos Spieler der Vexos, aber anders als zum Beispiel Mylene und Aquos Elico waren sie wirklich durch und durch Partner und hatten nicht nur ein Zweckbündnis. Quando un gruppo di eroi fece breccia nella Fortezza e sconfisse tutte le difese, Brontes tentò di fermarli ricorrendo ai suoi numerosi e pericolosi tentacoli. Il gruppo riuscì comunque ad ucciderla, e proseguì la conquista di Oricon attaccando il Palazzo del Terrore.
