| - Yuan Shikai (Wade-Giles spelling: Yuan Shih-kai; ; 16 September 1859 – 6 June 1916) was an important Chinese general and politician, famous for his influence during the late Qing Dynasty, his role in the events leading up to the abdication of the last Qing Emperor of China, his autocratic rule as the first official President of the Republic of China, and his short-lived attempt to restore monarchy in China, with himself as the Hongxian Emperor (), the "Great Emperor of China."
- Su nombre de cortesía zì (字) fue Weiting (慰亭, a veces escrito también como 慰廷 o 尉亭). Su seudónimo hào (號) fue Rong'an (容庵). Nació en la ciudad de Zhangying, en la provincia de Henan. Destacó en la Primera Guerra Sino-japonesa en la que participó como comandante de las fuerzas chinas estacionadas en Corea. - Yuan Shikai was a human male military officer, originally serving in the Galactic Empire's Imperial Army and later defecting to the Alliance to Restore the Republic. He went on to serve as a general in the New Republic Army, and the army of the following Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. Born to a wealthy upper class family on the Outer Rim Territories planet of Qalydon, Yuan was raised during the Clone Wars and the Great Jedi Purge. Early on, Yuan developed an interest in politics and military arts, going to a military school at one point. He supported the Empire initially, prompting him to join, but rejected it after being left for dead following a mission. That was when he defected to the Alliance.
