  • Yuan Shikai was a human male military officer, originally serving in the Galactic Empire's Imperial Army and later defecting to the Alliance to Restore the Republic. He went on to serve as a general in the New Republic Army, and the army of the following Galactic Federation of Free Alliances. Born to a wealthy upper class family on the Outer Rim Territories planet of Qalydon, Yuan was raised during the Clone Wars and the Great Jedi Purge. Early on, Yuan developed an interest in politics and military arts, going to a military school at one point. He supported the Empire initially, prompting him to join, but rejected it after being left for dead following a mission. That was when he defected to the Alliance. Yuan was known to be a skilled tactician and strategist, and was a lethal shot while serving as an enlisted Imperial Army trooper and later a Rebel trooper. He was also somewhat a philosopher, writing a book on the art of war, the Book of Four Circles. Noted for having an ambitious personality, it drove Yuan to becoming a senior general in the New Republic and later a politician. Yuan was also known to have had an overinflated image of himself, making way for pride and arrogance. That caused some people to not like him, especially politicians and other superiors, along with the fact that he was a former Imperial. During the Yuuzhan Vong War, Yuan developed a hatred for the Yuuzhan Vong.
Su seudónimo hào (號) fue Rong'an (容庵).
