Gedde Watanabe (born June 26, 1955 in Utah) is a Japanese-American actor. He played played the Japanese tourist turned cameraman Mr. Katsuji in Gremlins 2: The New Batch. Before this he had changed his name from Gary to Gedde, he also had a main part in camp cult classic "Vamp". Gedde is also from some movies, such as Gung Ho (1986), Mulan I & II, Parental Guidance (2012 movie), Sixteen Candles, UHF, and Alfie (2004).

  • Gedde provided the voice of the chicken factory manager in "Pulling Double Booty".
  • He is perhaps best known for playing Long Duk Dong in the teen film Sixteen Candles. Other credits included UHF (with "Weird Al" Yankovic, as Kuni), Gung Ho (directed by Ron Howard), Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, EdTV, and the 2004 version of Alfie. TV work has included guest spots on Seinfeld, ER, and Everwood, and he has appeared on Broadway in Stephen Sondheim's Pacific Overtures. Voice over work includes The Simpsons, Batman Beyond, and Disney's Mulan.
