- The Templar Order, also called the Order of the Templars or just Templars, or Crusaders, was an order of various warriors of different species and specialties. The Order was focused on the overthrow of the Galactic Republic, a government which it deemed to be a failure. This was not done by them openly, for most of their history, but mainly from the shadows. There was much manipulation done by them, and some sources suggested that the Outer Rim Uprising was started by them. Their plot culminated in 16,858 BBY, when a task force of Templars took control of the Senate Building and tried to take control of the Jedi Temple, though failed. The main leaders of the organization were not Force users, and did not associate themselves with light or dark.
