Mycosis is localized inflammation caused by the colonization of a fungal infection. They usually occur in three types of patients: * Individuals who take strong antibiotics for lengthy periods of time, as the healthy bacteria that fight fungal infection are destroyed along with the harmful ones. * People who are immunosuppresed. * People who are infected with HIV or have developed AIDS. * Individuals who are on high doses of steroids. * Patients on chemotherapy. * People suffering from diabetes mellitus.
