- Nala es una leona y la co-protagonista de la película The Lion King. Nala es la hija de Sarafina, la esposa de Simba, y la madre de Kiara y Kion.
- De belangrijkste personen die Nala getekend en ontwikkeld hebben waren Bob Bryan en Gilda Pallingina. Tijdens een vroege ontwikkeling van De Leeuwenkoning, had Nala een jongere broer, Mheethu genaamd. Mheethu wordt genoemd in het boek "The Art of the Lion King". In een vroege versie van de film, wou Scar een geliefde heerser zijn, wat inhield dat hij een koningin nodig had om welpen mee te krijgen. Juist op dat moment kwam Nala klagen over de situatie in De Koningsrots. In deze scène eiste Scar dat Nala zijn vrouw zou worden, Nala weigert dit, waardoor ze wordt verbannen.

- Nala (ナラ Nara?) is one of the two female members of the Godai, a team of five people that are skilled in the arts of combat, spying and assassination, who works for the World Government as a mercenary organization. In the group, she has the code name Wind (風 Fū?).

- Nala was Simba's best friend in The Lion King. She went with Simba to Scar's elephant graveyard, even though it was against Mufasa's orders (though she did not know). When Simba disappeared, she was seen crying. Afterwhich, when she is all grown up, she tries to catch Pumbaa, but fails when Simba stops her. They reconize each other, much to Timon's surprise. She tries to convince Simba to come back with her. They argue, and Nala finds Simba looking at Pride Rock in horror. She is supposed to find Sarabi and rally the lionesses. She fights Scar and survives to tell the tale. Later, she is standing with Simba when Rafiki holds up Kiara.
- Nala ist eine junge Afrikanische Elefantenkuh im englischen Knowsley Safari Park in Prescot (bei Liverpool), wo sie auch geboren wurde. Nala kam am 05.04.2003 im Knowsley Safaripark zur Welt. Ihre "Ankunft" wurde wohl im Juni/Juli 2002 bemerkt, als die Elefanten wegen der Maul- und Klauenseuche untersucht wurden und die Trächtigkeit von zwei Kühen festgestellt wurde. Daraufhin begannen auch die Planungen für eine erweiterte Elefantenanlage, um auf den Nachwuchs vorbereitet zu sein.

She is the daughter of Sarafina and an unnamed lion, the best friend and later wife of Simba, the mother of Kiara and Kion (and unofficially Kopa), the mother-in-law of Kovu, the daughter-in-law of Mufasa and Sarabi and the current Queen of the Pride Lands.
