- James Doohan (1920-2005) was a Canadian actor who was best known for his portrayal of Montgomery Scott in Star Trek: The Original Series, Star Trek: The Animated Series, and Star Trek: The Next Generation. Doohan also voiced "Scotty" in various spin-off media, and also many other voices for TAS.
- In a DVD-exclusive "Lois Kills Stewie" scene, he appears as Scotty from Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. When Meg Griffin is accidentally beamed into the holding tank of the Klingon Bird of Prey, he says that there are whales.

- Hij is geboren op 3 maart 1920 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Gedurende de Tweede wereldoorlog diende hij als kapitein in de Royal Canadian Artillery.
