Jonathan Frakes is an American actor, author and director. He directed the Castle episodes "Kill the Messenger" and "The Final Frontier". In the Castle episode "The Final Frontier", he had a small cameo as Castle's number one fan. Born Jonathan Scott Frakes in Bellefonte, Centre County, Pennsylvania, he is best known for portraying Commander/Captain William T. Riker in the Star Trek franchise, and has also directed a number of its episodes and films. Frakes has been married to soap opera actress Genie Francis since May of 1988.
