  • Usually possessing no ability or desire to become "super-people", the citizens of the world are nevertheless one of the most important assets in the world; whom the heroes seek to protect and the villains seek to dominate.
  • This is an article for the people of /pol/and to give their name and say what they do in the server, what group they're a part of and how they feel about other citizens. Enjoy!
  • Here is a list of citizens created for this site so far:
  • Your citizens are the lifeblood of your city, not only because they're the very reason for its existence, but also because they are at the core of its economy. First, citizens are the ultimate consumers of goods and services, produced by businesses. Second, they provide the workforce for all your buildings. Without enough workers, your businesses will quickly go bankrupt, or (if they're state-run) they simply won't function. And, of course, almost all buildings are keyed to reaching certain population (unless you've unlocked expert mode).
  • The Citizenry are the elite leaders and Fury Crafters of Alera. They are allowed to vote. The ranks of the Citizenry are as follows: * Steadholder — The head of a steadholt. A provisional rank - a Steadholder is only considered a Citizen on his steadholt and looses the privileges when off it. * Count/Countess — Presides over a small number of steadholts, their immediate lord. * Lord/Lady — Rules a section of a High City's land. * High Lord/Lady — De facto rulers of the High Cities and all land within their borders. * First Lord/Lady — The leader of Alera, the First Lord is subject only to the wishes of the Senate and the laws of the Realm. Typically the single most powerful furycrafter in the Realm, the First Lord wields extraordinary power through the fury Gaius Sextus c
  • The current rule of players placing citizens to work the map from within the city dialog has two big problems: * It takes too much time (micromanagement) to place them, choices which are trivial rather than important. * Calculating citizen placement and path-finding are by far the biggest CPU sinks in the AI, and it places great limitations on what kind of calculations we can do within reasonable timeframes. There are several possible models that can replace the current.
  • In Overlord II, you have the choice of dominating the citizens, making them your slaves. After you have made a citizen your slave, they will follow you and attack anyone that might try to harm you. When you free either Nordberg or Everlight from the Glorious Empire, you will have the choice of razing or dominating the town. Razing the town requires you to kill every citizen and destroy every house, while domination will require you to enslave every citizen. If you choose to enslave them, they will pick up different tasks and serve as your slaves. These tasks include: mining for gold, forging weapons and armour for your minions, breeding seals(Nordberg) and bartending(Everlight).
