Known as Lórindol (S. "Goldenhead"), Hador (S."Spear-Thrower") was the blond-haired Lord of Dor-lomin and a vassal of the Noldo High-king Fingolfin. The son of Hathol and great-grandson of Marach, he was the father of Galdor the Tall, Gundor, and Glóredhel and the grandfather of Húrin and Huor. He was a mighty Warrior who befriended and served Fingolfin of Hithlum and gathered most of the Third Adan House in the land he received in compensation for his services to the Elves. Hador died in the Dagor Bragollach (S. "Battle of Sudden Flame") when he and his son Gundor stayed at Eithel Sírion and defended the tower until their people and their Elven allies could retire safely from the onslaught of Morgoth's army. Hier sammelte Hador das Dritte Haus und wurde der mächtigste Fürst der Edain. Während der Dagor Bragollach (Schlacht des Jähen Feuers) führte Hador die Nachhut Fingolfins an und wurde bei der Verteidigung von Eithel Sirion erschlagen. Er wurde nur 65 Jahre alt. Hador Lórindol war von sehr hohem Adel und wurde als gleichrangig mit den Fürsten der Eldar angesehen. Unter seiner Herrschaft in Dor-lómin erreichten die Edain die Höhe ihres Glanzes in Beleriand. Unter dem Namen Goldscheitel war Hador Lórindol auch bekannt, weil er sehr schönes goldblondes Haar hatte.
