- Super Hero Aurum is the main antagonist of Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice. He was once a revered human hero, known for having taken down countless numbers of demons. According to the game, a lot of media and memorabilia was printed about him including his own comic book series, video games, line Of action figures, posters and so on. Aurum also came up with the Hero's Oath, 8 sayings of what makes a hero.

Over a thousand years after the Tho Yor Arrival, Aurum was destroyed during a Force Storm, a powerful phenomenon that cause fierce weather and seismic activity on Tython. The city's destruction and the death of many non-Force-sensitive Tythans was a major factor in the decision that all non-Force-sensitives should leave Tython and settle the other planets in the Tython system.

Many Mimics measure themselves against their Lineage’s demiurge creator; some seek to become like them, others to avoid their pitiful example. Naysayers say that the Refinement of Gold is pointless and dangerous; Prometheans are simply not close enough to human to even begin to understand human nature.

Those who turn into Mimics towards the end of their Promethean journey believe the path holds the last key pieces of ending their Saturnine Night. Ulgans and Galateids are most often seen on the path of Aurum, as their very natures lead them to constant human contact. In contrast, Frankensteins are rarely seen with the Refinement of Gold, as they are usually spurned by humanity because of their appearance and attitudes.
