Many spices have poisonous properties. This explains why spices are sometimes used in hazardous climates, which have more infectious diseases per capita than a regular climate, and why the use of spices is odd if they are used in your vegetable salad, which is no doubt already terrible. A spice may still be used in medicine, religious ritual, perfume products, shampoo, insect repellent, gunpowder, torture, and mass destruction.

His personality is calm, and as such he speaks with a calm, light-pitched, Australian accent. He is slightly cynical, proud, like fellow Spice Boys, and has a appetite for fighting, especially wanting a piece of Gohan for himself. He is very intelligent and informative, having complete confidence in himself, and his lord, Garlic Jr., who has his complete devotion and respect. He is unique due to his being a demon with enchanter-like abilities, including the strange ability to grow his hair extremely long and strangle opponents, as well as using an energy web to trap opponents, and a freeze hold he uses by raising his palm. Spice offers positions as Garlic Jr.'s soldiers to Gohan, Krillin and Piccolo. During Krillin and Gohan's fight with Salt and Mustard, Spice and Vinegar stand by spectating, while Spice makes cynical comments on the fight. After Mustard and Salt are killed by Gohan, he and Vinegar express anger and attempt a co-op move with is interrupted by Piccolo. He is a formidable warrior in his own right. Being the strongest of the Spice Boys, he possesses a frightening speed and ruthlessness, his speed even shocking Gohan. He is impaled on a long spike during his fight with Gohan and presumed dead, but like Garlic Jr., he is completely healed of his fatal injuries and his power increases greatly when the Makyo Star is in Earth's orbit. He ultimately becomes much larger and more muscular, as well as more vicious and bloodthirsty. He again fights Gohan for a while, while Vinegar takes on Krillin. He and Gohan seem evenly matched, strangely, even in his both forms. Later, when Gohan witnesses Krillin being beaten by Vinegar, Gohan's anger explodes, unleashing his latent power, and he kills Spice and Vinegar at the same time with a powerful dual blast.

The Spice Boys trapped Mr. Popo as he attempted to escape during Garlic Jr.'s invasion of Kami's Lookout, and Garlic Jr. trapped him in a bottle. He did the same to Kami. Spice asked Piccolo to join them, and have those infected by the Black Water Mist worship him, but he declined. After Piccolo was bitten, and seemingly infected by the mist, Spice held him back at the Lookout while Gohan and Krillin fought Salt and Mustard. After Gohan killed Salt and Mustard, Spice and Vinegar tried to enter the battle, but Piccolo fought Gohan instead. After Piccolo revealed that he was pretending to be under the Black Water Mist's control, he fought Garlic Jr., and Spice fought Gohan, eventually wrapping his hair around him. However Gohan broke free and attacked Vinegar. Krillin hit Spice with his head and Gohan knocked him into a spike, seemingly killing him. However, the Makyo Star drew ever closer to Earth, and it powered up Spice and Vinegar, healing them and enabling them to transform into bigger versions of themselves. From here, Spice beat up Gohan, and after knocking Krillin over the edge of the lookout, Vinegar fought Gohan alongside Spice. Gohan got angry at them for nearly killing Krillin, and unleashed his hidden power, destroying both Spice and Vinegar with two energy waves.

File:Spices.jpg The bonus on Caravan income is nothing too sensational, increasing a caravan's File:Wealth.jpg Wealth gather rate by something like +1 to +5 (per 30 seconds), depending on the length of the trading route. I.e., Caravans plying routes between neighboring cities generate an addtional +1 to +3 Wealth, while higher bonuses of +5 and more require a trading route roughly across half a standard map. The Persians are more likely to take full advantage of this rare resource as their Caravans are automatically produced.
