  • The Argolis Cluster is the last independent area in the Galaxy. The Cluster is protected by many powerful ships. Because of this all of the Jedi were relocated here. When the empire tried to take the Cluster by force an entire armada was whipped out by the Fighters, 2 Cruiser Types, Assault Droids and War Droids.
  • In 2368, the USS Enterprise-D conducted a survey of the Argolis Cluster's star systems as a possible prelude to Federation colonization. During the survey, it discovered a crashed Borg scout ship with one surviving drone, who would later be known as Hugh. A few months later, in 2369, the Enterprise returned to the Argolis Cluster to deliver relief supplies to the ecologically devastated Tagra IV. (TNG: "I Borg" , "True Q" )
  • The Argolis Cluster is a region of that stretches across the Federation-Cardassian border that contains a protostar cluster, nebulae, six uninhabited star systems and the inhabited planet Tagra IV. (TNG: "True Q"; The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon) In late-2374, Starfleet Command learned the Dominion was attempting to establish stronger supply lines through Betazed to the Argolis Cluster and dispatched the Starfleet Seventh Fleet to intercept the Dominion forces. (TNG: "I, Borg" • "True Q")

(DS9: "The Reckoning")

(DS9 novel: ...Sacrifice of Angels) In the year 2305, a shuttlecraft carrying Lieutenant Arex Na Eth encountered a black hole in the Argolis Cluster, flinging him seventy-one years forward to 2376. (NF short story: "The Road to Edos")
(TNG: "I Borg" , "True Q" ) During the Dominion War, the Dominion concealed a large sensor array at the periphery of the Argolis Cluster. The array allowed them to monitor allied ship movements over five sectors, providing them with a substantial tactical advantage. In 2374, the USS Defiant, commanded by Lieutenant Commander Jadzia Dax, successfully destroyed the array by moving through the cluster instead of around it. The Dominion forces were unprepared for an attack from that direction, as they believed any ship inside the cluster would be destroyed by the extreme gravimetric shear. (DS9: "Behind the Lines") Later in 2374, the Dominion attempted to establish a supply line to the Argolis Cluster through Betazoid space, which would have allowed them to attack Vulcan. (DS9: "The Reckoning") René Echevarria wrote three of the episodes that mentioned the Cluster. According to Star Trek: Star Charts (p. 47) and Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("Federation Historical Highlights, 2161-2385"), this cluster was located in the Alpha Quadrant. According to Stellar Cartography: The Starfleet Reference Library ("The Dominion War: Strategy and Battles, 2373-75"), the Alliance raided the Argolis Array in April 2374. According to the script for "Behind the Lines", this cluster's name was pronounced as "ahr-GO-liss". [1]

(TNG: "True Q"; The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon) The Dominion built the Argolis Array at the edge of the cluster allowing them to monitor the starship across five sectors. After the Federation discovered the arrays existence the USS Defiant was dispatched to destroy the array. The Defiant approached the array through the cluster, which was unexpected given the gravitational eddies in the cluster and destroy the array.
