- Pounced Part 1 The Isle.gif Pounced Part 2 The Isle.gif Pouncing was a feature which allowed the smaller dinosaurs to grip and attack prey.
- Pounce is a tech in Chrono Cross. This level 3 tech is used by Pip and is acquired automatically at 3 star levels. The exact appearance of the tech depends on Pip's evolution form. In his unevolved form, Pip flips into the air and lands using his tail as a spring to catapult him at the enemy. In his Arch Angel form, Pip flys higher, does a backflip and launches himself at the enemy. In his Arch Devil form, Pip bounces around on the ground before twirling into the air and launching himself at the enemy. In his Holy Beast form, Pip does a somersault, spins quickly in place, and then flys at the enemy.

- Pounce is the Decepticon equivalent of Repugnus (though the difference between the two is fairly microscopic). He does the dirty jobs that even the other Decepticons find repugnant. And as far as he's concerned, the dirtier the better. Anti-social, vicious, nasty, wily, silent, deadly and merciless are all appropriate descriptors for Pounce. What few realize is that much of Pounce's success at his job stems from the carefully cultivated reputation he's created for himself. Pounce is the clone brother of Wingspan. - Pounce, a.k.a. Danny Franks (and sometimes Danica Alexis Franks), is Kayda Franks' younger brother (and part-time sister). He had an inactive meta-gene, which eventually manifested in late May 2007. He is an Avatar like his sister, and was bonded to a cougar spirit named Wihinape. Danny has changed from a stout, very-well-muscled, average-looking farm kid into a very fit, slender, slightly androgynous looking boy, which further convinces Mrs. Franks that he's ultimately going to end up a girl. This makes her go to lengths to help 'him' adapt to what he's becoming.
- If ever there was a Decepticon equivalent (although most Autobots would say there's no difference at all) of Repugnus, Pounce is it. He's not as ugly, but he's every bit (if not more) as anti-social and downright vicious and nasty. Wily, silent, deadly and merciless, he's the right machine for the right job... namely the ones no one else wants! Though he's as savage and deadly as one could want, a lot of his success stems from the reputation (almost legend) he's skillfully built up around himself. No one (not even the Decepticons, it's rumored) knows when or where he will strike next. He hunts at night, striking silently and lethally and then melting back into the shadows. - Pounce, a.k.a. Danny Franks (and sometimes Danica Alexis Franks), is Kayda Franks' younger brother (and part-time sister). He had an inactive meta-gene, which eventually manifested in late May 2007. He is an Avatar like his sister, and was bonded to a cougar spirit named Wihinape. Danny Franks manifested during the late spring of 2007 while Kayda was at Whateley. Kayda's spirit mentor Wakan Tanka took it upon herself to find a spirit for Danny, not leaving it to chance - and now Danny has the female spirit of Igmu Taka, the mountain lion. She is more than a typical avatar spirit; more like Grizzly and Kodiak, and she will communicate with Danny at times. She's also sultry and uninhibited, which drives him nuts. Because he has a female spirit, his parents are convinced that he's going to change just like Kayda, so they have him put in Poe Cottage as a changeling. This disgusts Danny greatly (and doesn't make Kayda any too happy). Danny has changed from a stout, very-well-muscled, average-looking farm kid into a very fit, slender, slightly androgynous looking boy, which further convinces Mrs. Franks that he's ultimately going to end up a girl. This makes her go to lengths to help 'him' adapt to what he's becoming. Danny is very unhappy about what happened to him, and terrified that he's still changing into a she because of the hallow/spirit misfit and the fact that he has to spend a day to a day-and-a-half a week in his female cat-girl/"slut-kitty" (as Mrs. Franks nicknamed it) or Wihinape form (as of yet, no-one can tell for sure if he IS still changing). Though Danny doesn't like to fight (he's heard many of Kayda's stories about Whateley and bullies and fighting), Wihinape is a very experienced scrapper, and if she takes control of either the "slut-kitty" form or the mountain lion form, she is one hella tough fighter.

Pounce cares little for the company of others, enjoying terrorizing his fellow Decepticons almost (but not quite) as much as he enjoys hunting and killing Autobots. As he has been known to mutter, "It's a dirty job... but someone's got to do it!" In puma mode, Pounce can creep with virtually no noise at all and then leap up to a colossal seven miles to pounce on his unsuspecting prey. He possesses enhanced eyesight (including highly defined night vision) and an enhanced sense of smell. He can track virtually anything, anywhere. In robot mode the laser range finder and target lock system in his optical sensors provide 99.4% accuracy with his twin anti-personnel missile launching guns, both of which come complete with metal shearing bayonet attachments. He is the clone brother of Wingspan. Apart from a somewhat inflated opinion of his own abilities (he tends to believe his own publicity), Pounce has no evident weaknesses.
