| abstract | - The Eagle Elite Battalion was a battalion of elite and ARC troopers in the Grand Army of the Republic. It was founded in 20 BBY by Jedi General Kadg Amon-Di Carrick in order to carry out the orders which his assigned Clone trooper battalion (493rd battalion) could not. In their early battles, the Eagle Elites acted as commanders for the lesser trained CT-class clone troopers until the beginning of the Outer Rim Sieges, at which point they made more of active use of their stealth training and skills. The 493rd's successes grew rapidly after this sudden change of tactics, and stealth became the Eagle Elite Battalion's greatest asset.
