  • The Mace is a weapon used by the Lizardman class. Without this weapon, the lizardman can't use attacks like Mace, Stunner, Bonebreaker, and Cripple.
  • Mace is a short range weapon with a good attack power. Different maces are made from different materials.
  • In middle-earth maces are used by the beornings, black númenóreans, dwarves, some half-elves, the noldor, the corsairs of umbar, the umli and the woses.
  • Mace was a melee weapon that was developed by the Th'iruckai, a war-like species.
  • A mace is a simple weapon or ceremonial club or virge that uses a heavy head on the end of a handle to deliver powerful blows. A development of the club, a mace differs from a hammer in that the head of a mace is radially symmetric so that a blow can be delivered equally effectively with any side of the head. A mace consists of a strong, heavy wooden, metal-reinforced, or metal shaft, with a head made of stone, copper, bronze, iron or steel. Some mace heads are charged with energy, increasing the damage done, while others are made from pure energy in a containment field, in which case the mace shape is largely ornamental.
  • A mace is a versatile weapon, so medium characters may wield it two-handed to deal 1 extra damage. Small characters must wield it two-handed, and they deal no extra damage for doing so. Ardents, artificers, avengers, barbarians, bards, battleminds, clerics, druids, fighters, invokers, paladins, psions, rangers, runepriests, seekers, shamans, sorcerers, swordmages, vampires, wardens, warlocks, and warlords are proficient with all simple melee weapons, including the mace. Assassins are proficient with one-handed simple melee weapons, including the mace. Rogues who select the Ruthless Ruffian option of the Rogue Tactics class feature gain proficiency with the mace.

abstract
  • The Mace is a weapon used by the Lizardman class. Without this weapon, the lizardman can't use attacks like Mace, Stunner, Bonebreaker, and Cripple.
  • Mace is a short range weapon with a good attack power. Different maces are made from different materials.
  • In middle-earth maces are used by the beornings, black númenóreans, dwarves, some half-elves, the noldor, the corsairs of umbar, the umli and the woses.
The head is normally about the same or slightly thicker than the diameter of the shaft and can be shaped with flanges or knobs to allow greater penetration of armour. The length of maces can vary considerably. The maces of foot soldiers were usually quite short (two or three feet, or 70 to 90 cm). The maces of cavalrymen were longer and better designed for blows from horseback. Two-handed maces could be even larger. The terms flail and mace are often, though incorrectly, used interchangeably. Maces are rarely used by humans today for actual combat, but a large number of government bodies (for instance the U.S. Congress), universities and other institutions have ceremonial maces used as symbols of authority, in rituals and processions and for other purposes. Transformers are more likely to still use maces in combat - especially the energy-mace variety.

Assassins are proficient with one-handed simple melee weapons, including the mace. Rogues who select the Ruthless Ruffian option of the Rogue Tactics class feature gain proficiency with the mace. Other classes do not have proficiency with the mace as a class trait, but any character can become proficient by taking a Weapon Proficiency feat.
