  • The kobolds on Myra fall into two groups, peoples or races, which have no known relation to each other, but are both known as kobolds. Both, of course, would deny the right of the others to this title (see below).
  • The Gargons are minions of Lodar in Slave City! Several Kobolds tried to capture Princess Rana of Targa, but they were thwarted by He-Man and Battle Cat. He-Man was later discovered by Kobolds and taken to Targa after being knocked unconscious by a falling boulder. They also manage to capture Battle Cat and Rana with a net. After He-Man defeats Lodar, the Kobolds flee at the sight of their master losing. Afterwards, Lodar and the Kobolds are banished underground.
  • Kobolds are a reptillian race. They have a strong reverence to dragons[MM:167], as they are themselves a humanoid version of a dragon (yet significantly shrunken to only 3-4 feet high, and with a rodent-like visage.) Kobolds base their lairs near dragons, and make sacrifical offerings to what they perceive as gods. Kobolds are well known for constructing traps, which they can use to defend their lair or capture prey.
  • Though the kobold race has not been given much depth or backstory, Malack, priest of Nergal and friend of General Tarquin, divulges that Tiamat, a goddess normally associated with reptilian folk, prefers kobolds to lizardfolk, Malack's race. He also comments that kobolds "prefer to hang around in dark caves or hidden valleys, rather than get too involved with world politics".
  • Kobolds are distant relatives of dwarves, although neither will admit it. They live in caves deep underground and shun sunlight and outsiders. Small and spindly, they do not fight very well. However, they can be powerful magic users and enchanters, so it best to be cautious around them.
  • Kobolds are a small, animal-like race, often standing only as half as tall as a Dwarf and covered in rat-like hair. They can often share appearances with a number of different animals, including dogs, rats or reptiles. This could be due to the fact that Kobolds simply vary wildly in general appearance, or they could be a number of smaller humanoid-animals that simply banded together long ago. Kobold females are around the same height and weight as a male. Kobolds can have a number of different fur, scale or hair colours, depending on their general appearance.
  • Kobolds are a race of anthropomorphic dogs, standing generally around the same height as humans (though typically shorter). Interestingly enough Kobolds, despite their vast differences from humans, often have an easier time integrating themselves amongst humans as opposed to other races. Much of their culture seems to be influenced by humans, including their architecture. In general Kobolds place great focus on fighting; resulting in what appears as a low level of intelligence. This is not to say Kobolds are stupid, however, as they can be quite intelligent if they put forth the dedication. This may be slightly hampered by the relatively short life spans they live, which tend to only be 70% of the average human life.
  • Kobolds are dark creatures, likely related to goblins. Kendra saw one in Rise of the Evening Star. His name was Casey Hancock and appeared as a strikingly handsome boy to most people . Only Kendra could see him as an ugly kobold. He had a bald head, terrible breath, and wooed some of Kendra's friends out on dates. Kendra's friends, after a kiss with him, are disenchanted with him due to his bad breath. Kendra and Seth were tricked by Errol Fisk into stealing a frog statue that was later revealed to be a demon in its dormant state in order to get Case to leave the school which he did do, upon receiving the Demon wrapped up as a gift.

Currently there are only two known Kobold habitats - both on the Northern Continent. In the Toran Republic, the Kobolds share their home in the Great Forest with the Elves and Dwarves. Given the rather elitist nature of both races, the kobolds tend to have a difficult time interacting with either one and keep mostly to themselves. Before the Gate Rune War had erupted, Kwanda Rosman had used the power of the Black Rune to drive the Kobolds into absolute obedience - leaving only Kuromimi unaffected. Eventually this was put to a stop with the help of the Liberation Army and the Kobolds became part of the war effort. Following the war, Kuromimi was made the chief of the Kobold Village in the Toran Republic. In contrast, the Kobolds of the Dunan Republic have done better to integrate themselves into human culture. Although a number of Kobolds do keep to themselves in their own village in the southern province of Two River City, a vast majority of their population coexists with the Wingers and humans of Two River. The Kobolds have traditionally represented the military might of Two River, even though they were kept carefully segregated from the humans. The prejudice between the three races came to its boiling point during the Dunan Unification War when Highland Forces attempted to capture Two River. With the help of Riou, however, the three races were able to form a coalition against the Highland Army and drove them from the area. Eventually Two River became an ally with the Allied Army, with General Ridley Wizen officially representing Two River's might.

They reach adulthood in a few years but there are no records of them dying of old-age, or of an age-related illness. It is often speculated that, should they avoid the injuries and accidents they are prone to, they may live as long, if not longer than Elves. Kobolds are not the most intelligent of races, in the sense of 'knowledge'. They are, however, incredibly cunning and suprisingly ingenious; often finding solutions to problems when others can see no such thing.
