The mission was created with a disastrous outcome that showed Cordatus transform from an arrogant and reckless Jedi Knight into a wise Jedi Sage and Jedi Master, as he was the Sage Master of the New Jedi Order when the timeline began. Rhea used this event as an "obligatory tragic past for a Jedi," as he wanted to show that the character once had a desire to find adventure and excitement as a Jedi but later had to face the consequences of those actions in order to become the Jedi he was when the timeline began. It also gave the philosophies that Cordatus taught as Sage Master more meaning, as he experienced the necessity of the philosophies rather than simply preaching them without firsthand experience. As the Star Wars Legacies timeline went on, the mission on Ardos continued to be referenced in role-plays. Cordatus would use it while speaking with other characters, such as to explain how someone who makes mistakes can learn from them, or even how they can be redeemed. That allowed the mission to take on a continued meaning not only for Cordatus himself, but also for characters he interacted with. On May 16, 2012, after seeing enthusiasm over the SWRP Origins: Battle for the Serendipity plot created by Rhea’s fellow role-player and administrator Rowan Grimes, Rhea posted an informational thread for a pre-Star Wars Legacies role-playing called SWRP Origins: Mission to Ardos. Cordatus will be at the center of the plot, and other characters will include Bellatrix La Rouge, forces from the Galactic Empire, Ardosian soldiers, and the Princess of Oro Prime. Sara Umbra may also appear. Sign-ups for the plot are currently underway. Should the plot be successful, it will be included in an upcoming fan fiction novel centered around the storyline, with characters, events, and role-playing posts from the plot being reformatted into novel form.
