The event featured talent from Thunder as well as Punk Wrestling Extreme. It was the first EWE ePPV to only feature talent from one brand. Death Walkway 2009 featured a single main event, a Triple Threat match for the EWE Championship between Super Nova, Tommy Cage and Kevin Gillmore. The event also featured many big sub-card matches, including Legend of Wrestling members Shawn Stasiak and Killer Kong against Johnny Gennetto and PWE's Ace as well as No Holds Barred matches between Jason Scandel and James Parker and Steven Hooke and Robert Cortage.
