Fade to Black 2009 featured a single main event, a one-on-one contest for the World Heavyweight Championship between Xavier and Jeff Wilon. The event also featured many big sub-card matches, including a No. 1 Contender Fatal-4-Way match for the World Heavyweight Championship between Big Blood Vader, Hiroshima, Masked Avenger and Kaine as well as a match between brothers Dave Morris and The Outsider.
