He performs for Gametime's Championship Wrestling (GCW), on its Sabotage brand. Hunter is one of the senior performers in GCW, having joined in early 2003. He is one of only two wrestlers, the other being Dynamite, to have claimed seven GCW Championships. Hunter began his wrestling career with Wrestling Edge Federation (WEF), now known as Edge Pro Wrestling (EPW), and the Extreme Wrestling Federation (EWF). During his time with WEF, he reunited with childhood friend Angelo Ragin' Rivera, forming a Tag Team called BlackOut. Hunter and Rivera then signed with Extreme Wrestling Federation (EWF), while in contract with WEF after an administrative scandal. They returned to WEF shortly after to regain control of it, only to go back to the EWF when the WEF collapsed. Michael Hunter later worked as a solo performer, taking on a new persona of "The Infamous" Michael Hunter. He was part of a backstage group known as The EWF Alumni while in GCW when he first arrived with Angelo Rivera, The Harbinger, Maximus, Bubba McGoon, Grace, and Alexandra. Later in that year he teamed up with Gametime (Chair person of GCW), and Mia Xiayou to form The Spotlight. This group of wrestlers were known for their political domination during their time together. That same year, Hunter took part in one of the most grueling matches in GCW history, in the "Iron Man" match at Wrestling Hysteria III against long time friend and then GCW Undisputed champion, Angelo Rivera. After capturing his first Undisputed championship, Michael rose to become a staple in GCW eventually being inducted into GCW's Hall of Fame in 2005. Overall, Michael Hunter has been a world champion three times, including two GCW Undisputed title reigns, and one reign as WEF world champion. He's captured the GCW Tag titles three times, the GCW United States championship and the Intercontinental championship. He was also the winner of the 2004 King of Death Match, and the 2004 and 2005 Regicide Tournament winner.
