  • Pandora's Box was a rectangular box owned by the legendary woman Pandora. In appearance, the box was unassuming and plain, apart from a bronze locking mechanism on the lid, which took the shape of a large handprint (modeled after Pandora's). The lock on the Box was similar to a wind-up clock and would slowly tick open every so often, requiring it to be re-locked by Pandora or one of her descendants on a regular basis. Pandora once opened the Box and unleashed the forces within, but managed to shut the box in time to prevent hope from escaping. Thus, Pandora reasoned, hope is still in the Box, and therefore still accessible to humanity.

  • Once Upon a Time, there was a little girl named Pandora. One day, Pandora found a box. She hoped it was a present for her. Suddenly, BJ walks up and tells her not to open it. Pandora was wondering why she shouldn't open the box. BJ told her that the sign says do not open. Pandora was claiming this was her box, but BJ didn't see her name on it. • Stored in Aisle 989-B of Warehouse 13. Later it was revealed that the box was in the Ytterbium Chamber. Artie initially claimed the box was empty. According to legend, once Pandora opened it, a stream of chaos was released. The box now only contains the spirit of hope, which was left inside because Pandora slammed the lid shut after the world's evils escaped. Without hope, fear takes over and chaos follows after it. The brain starts producing far fewer endorphins, natural pain and stress relievers, and as a result, people start seeing the world in a much duller context.
  • If the player does not learn it upon the first casting, Pandora's Box is usually impossible to obtain. The global variable for Pandora's Box is also used in the Jenova∙SYNTHESIS battle, meaning that after triggering this battle, if one were to fight another Dragon Zombie, it would again use Pandora's Box. Jenova∙SYNTHESIS is past the point of no return, however, and the only way to get back from that point is by triggering a glitch. It can be done in the original PC version by switching the CD just before the beginning of a battle triggering a fight with a Test 0 (a debug room enemy). Upon either killing it or by running away, the player will return to the world map at the point they left it the last time. If the player performs this trick when the battle with Bizarro∙Sephiroth is about to

  • Pandora's Box is an artifact of extraordinary power, which is a given considering its nature as a small fragment of the Ten-Tails' power. However, the truly difficult process was acquisition of the Ten-Tails' power, which meant he was forced to confront it.

  • In order to defeat Peter Pan, Gold needs Pandora's Box. Gold draws Ariel a map to Storybrooke and the mermaid says that she can make it there. When she asks what she needs to bring back, Gold enchants a sand dollar and gives it to Ariel, and tells her to give it to Belle. Ariel travels to Storybrooke and is met by the dwarfs. They take her to Belle and Ariel gives her the shell. They go to Rumple's shop to clean up, and the sand dollar projects a recorded image of Gold. He explains that the Home Office men are more dangerous then they feared, and that he can defeat Pan and still lives if she goes to the shop and gets the object. Gold says that the strength of their love will let her find it. Realizing the chipped cup must be involved, Belle wonders what she could do with it. She puts it in the cabinet it once lived in, and once in place, a magical light appears, unlocking a hidden door. Belle opens the door and takes out a box, surprised at what she's seeing. Ariel wonders what it is, so Belle explains that it's Pandora's Box. However, before they can leave, the two unwelcome visitors arrive with guns and tie the two girls up. They take the box off them and leave to destroy it, so it can't be used against Pan. The girls manage to escape their binds by turning Ariel into a mermaid again, and once free, they head to the mines and stop the men from destroying the item. They become upset and state they were only trying to save their sister, whom Pan has prisoner. Their sister is Wendy Darling. Later on, Ariel swims back to Neverland to deliver Pandora's Box to Gold and Regina. Ariel tells them that Pan has Wendy prisoner and that Belle doesn't want to let her down. Gold says that they'll do their best and asks her to tell Belle that he loves her and that she will see him again. ("Dark Hollow") Rumple is moving through the jungle with Regina, and the two of them soon come across Emma, Mary Margaret, David, Neal, Hook and Tinker Bell, all of whom have begun trekking to Pan's camp in order to save Henry. Everyone turns on Rumple when Neal tells them of the prophecy and that Gold is there to kill Henry. Gold insists that they're making a mistake and says that he won't hurt Henry. He points out that he's the most powerful among them but Neal asks for Pandora's Box as proof of his good intentions. After a moment, Gold hands it to him and Neal warns him that he'll use it to trap him if he uses any magic whatsoever. Later, Rumple, Regina, Emma and Neal make their way to Skull Rock. Gold is the only one able to pass Pan's protection spell due to the fact that he doesn't have a shadow like the rest of them, and Neal is forced to reluctantly hand over Pandora's Box so that Rumple can use it to defeat Pan. Mr. Gold then confronts his father, but learns that Pan switched the box in Rumple's hands for a fake, having the real one himself, being able to do so with the power of his belief. He then opens the real box, trapping Rumple inside. ("Think Lovely Thoughts") Pan succeeds in gaining Henry's heart and becomes immortal. He tells Emma, Neal and Regina that Henry offered his heart of his own free will. When Emma tries to cut it out of Pan, he easily teleports away and picks up Pandora's Box. Pan explains that Gold is inside of the Box where he can't hurt Pan... and neither can they. Later, in order to find Pan, Emma, Mary Margaret and Regina go into the Pixie Wood and find Pandora's Box sitting on a tree stump. As Mary Margaret reaches for it, vines grab all three of them and pin them to a tree. Pan steps out and picks up Emma's sword, and tells them that they'll only be reunited with Henry in death. However, Regina frees herself and rips Henry's heart out of Pan's chest, and then picks up Pandora's Box and says that it's time to save Henry. Emma and the others go to the Jolly Roger and Regina puts Henry's heart back in his chest; the boy revives. On deck, Neal lets Mr. Gold out from the box and the two reconcile. Meanwhile, Henry is belowdecks. Pan appears and tells Henry that Regina left him for dead and tried to take his heart, but realizes that he can't take it. He tries to take Henry's shadow, but Gold enters with Pandora's Box and pulls Pan inside, telling his father that magic works both way. At the last moment, Pan switched bodies with the boy, saving himself while Henry, now stuck in a different body, is sucked into the box. ("Save Henry") When the Jolly Roger arrives to Storybrooke, Gold takes Pandora's Box to his shop and seals it away, assuring the others that only he can release it. Henry's family assure Pan, in Henry's body, that Pan will never harm him again, and Gold promises that he will never release the person trapped within the Box. But, when the Shadow kills the Mother Superior, Emma, Mary Margaret, and David run to the pawnshop as Belle and Gold leave. He says that he's busy but Emma explains that they need Pandora's Box because Pan is controlling the Shadow from inside the box. Emma is ready to stop Pan once and for all, and Gold wonders what she has in mind. A short time later, the group drives to the edge of town. If they release Pan on the other side then he'll be powerless. Emma says that she's doing it because she has experience in the real world, and Gold reluctantly agrees. She steps over the line and Gold opens the box and sets it over the line and tells Emma to shoot Pan, but when he emerges he insists that he's Henry and that Pan tricked him before, meaning the Henry that's walking around Storybrooke is actually Pan. Gold is reluctant to believe this at first, but soon accepts it as the truth once the boy proves himself to his mother, Emma. The group hurry to the vault to tell Regina about the body switch. • Pandora's Box is a race of creature in the Darkness Civilization. __TOC__
  • Pandora's Box was a mythical container of plague, sorrow, poverty, crime and hope. Pandora opened the box and released everything but hope. In 2372, Benjamin Sisko told Admiral Leyton that if the USS Lakota fired on the USS Defiant, a Pandora's Box would be opened, one that would be impossible to close. Leyton later told him "this Pandora's Box of yours, we're opening it together". (DS9: "Paradise Lost")
Pandora's understanding of the situation was transferred to her granddaughter, who lost the Box and was trying to get it back so she could re-lock it before hope escaped. She was able to recruit Xena and Gabrielle, who were trying to sort out a prophecy about a king and a baby at the time, to assist her. Xena arranged for the king, Gregor to adopt the baby and hire Pandora as a nursemaid, in exchange for placing Pandora's Box under guard to ensure that it wasn't stolen again. As they reviewed the safeguards on the Box, Gabrielle accidentally knocked it open, revealing it was empty. Xena realized hope is locked away inside every human heart, and whatever the original Pandora did, the Box is now just a symbol. (XWP: "Cradle of Hope") In the original mythology, Pandora's Box was actually a large storage jar. The exact source of the confusion is usually traced to Erasmus of Rotterdam who apparently mistook the Greek word pithos (a large storage jar) for pyxis (a small cylindrical box).

  • Pandora sought revenge against both the people that spurned her and the gods that cursed her. To do this, she needed to open the box and unleash the contents upon them, but her 'curse' prohibits her from being able to open the very object from which her curse stems from and can grant her the revenge she craves. Forced to wander the earth, unable to open her 'lunchbox', Pandora, under the alias of "Dora, sought someone she can trick into opening the box for her. Her chance finally came when she met Mandy at Endsville Elementary School. When they were out on the football field, Mandy wanted to destroy Mindy , her arch-nemesis. So she opens the lunchbox, unleashing evil that happened to be demons shaped like food. It turns out that Dora is actually Pandora, and she tricked Mandy into unleashing all of the demons. Mandy, angry that Dora tricked her, stops the end of the world by sucking the demons and Dora into the lunchbox (simply by closing the box and opening it again). Strangely enough however, Dora can still be seen in later episodes.

  • Pandora's Box is an artifact mentioned in most cultures myths and legend, taking on several different forms, with it's most recent being a large metal box. This cursed box has the ability to take the soul of whoever opens it, sealing it away until the box reaches capacity. At capacity, when opened the box releases the souls of all those held inside to ravage the lands across the universe. Ynot was tricked by Blackout into opening the box, sealing himself inside.
  • In Mythology, Pandora's Box was a gift from Zeus. He warned humanity to never open it, but the curiosity of Pandora overcame her, and she opened it, releasing all of the woes of mankind into the world. In Legendary, it was an artifact created to contain all of the creatures that maintained the natural balance in the world by the Council of 98. Countless wars were fought over it. Charles Deckard was hired by Ormand LeFey to steal the Box, but he opened it, releasing the creatures trapped inside.
  • The box was originally a jar given to Pandora by Zeus, it contained all of the evil and misery the gods could conceive. Pandora released all the evil, pain, and misery that had been bottled up inside the container. However, some evil was still caught within after Pandora had closed it; explaining why Lolotte wanted it so badly. It was later buried in a Crypt dug by the priestesses in the land of Tamir during the time of ancient Aegypt. It contained the purist evil in the universe, and was sought after by Lolotte to augment her power. With that power she could rule the world, she would be unstoppable. The power would doom the world to enslavement by the witch. She sent Rosella to claim it, but after she was defeated, it was buried again before she could use it. Afterwards the key to the crypt was pushed underneath the door, so no one could ever enter again. Pandora's Box is made of some unfamiliar, heavy, black metal and decorated with blasphemous shapes. It appears and feels evil.It was hidden away and guarded by the mummy for eons. Rosella returned Pandora's Box to the Crypt. She locked the door to the crypt, and kicked the key through a crack under the door. She made sure that no one would ever accidentally release the evils of Pandora's Box into the world.
If the player performs this trick when the battle with Bizarro∙Sephiroth is about to start, they will be ported to the world map and can thus fight another Dragon Zombie and get it to use Pandora's Box for a second time. Another way is to use the Yuffie warping glitch. As being able to trigger Pandora's Box more than once is so cumbersome, before going into Northern Cave, the player may want to have all Enemy Skill Materia equipped. Pandora's Box's spell power is equal to 3.75x the base magic damage, and ignores the enemies' defenses. It can be reflected. Casting Pandora's Box on Proud Clod at the Battle Square with a party member and the enemy both having Reflect can result in an infinite loop reflecting back and forth between the party and the enemy. Using Pandora's Box on enemies after a Chocobo has fled the battle will result in a transparent Chocobo model after the spell has finished. This has no effect on ending the battle.
  • Pandora's box (formerly DorasBox) is a monster who appears in the Dragon Quest game series.
  • Pandora's Box was introduced in the myth about Pandora. She was not supposed to open the box, but curiosity got the best of her. • As revealed in Greek mythology, Pandora's Box was the box that possessed all of the evil and darkness in the world, released when the naïve Pandora opened it. This Precious was separated between key and box, to prevent either from being near one another so the box would not open again. Ryuuwon tracks down the key and takes it in a desperate attempt to find one more Precious to allow him to have power long enough until he regained the Egg of Lemuria, but Gajah steals it from him using enhanced powers tied to three Gordom Engines within his own body, with his own idea of using the box to "destroy all Precious". Once he tracks down the box, he opens it and sucks in all of the darkness within, before using it alongside the Gordom Engines to create his most powerful minion: Desperado, named as such due to "despair" being the last thing to leave Pandora's Box. Task 47: The Box of Despair Desperado had enough power to hold off the Boukengers while Gajah reclaimed and absorbed the Heart of Gordom within the wreckage of the SGS's Precious Bank, leaving it to find the Brain of Gordom which was stored elsewhere. The Boukengers, evicerated due to Masumi's abandonment of the team and Akashi's believed death in a final battle with Ryuuwon, tried to hold on even as SGS shut down all Parallel Engines for their powers due to Gajah's ability to absorb the Precious energy within them. Ultimately, Masumi's return finally allowed for the team to stand up to Desperado, with multiple attacks of the Dual Crusher's Drill Head finally appearing to destroy the "darkness". Although Gajah tried to revive it and make it grow, Akashi's return with DaiVoyager allowed for the team to defeat the monster of Pandora's Box with the combination of their mech and Zubaan. Task 48: The Fearsome High Priest Last Task: The Endless Adventure Spirits
BJ claimed that it could belong to someone else. Pandora says she was going to wait by the box, and BJ reminded her not to open it. After he left, Pandora could not stop thinking about that box. Then, she got an idea. She decided to play Pop Goes the Weasel and wait. But she couldn't wait any longer. So she opened the box. But when she opened the box, there was nothing inside. When Barney asked her what was on her face, she got a huge surprise! It turned out the box was filled with itchy blue spots! And now that Pandora had let them out, they spread on everyone! Pandora thought if she put the top back on the box that the spots will go away. But it was too late. The itchy spots were already out. Then, Pandora heard a voice coming from inside the box. The voice said she could take away the spots if she let her out. Pandora then opened the box to find a butterfly named Hope. Hope then took away all the itchy spots off of everyone's face. As she took them away, the spots were now on Hope's wings. The point of our story is really good. When someone tells you to wait, you really should. So learn to be patient and soon my friend, the wait will be over and it will be The End.

  • Pandora's Box was an artifact sought by Lara Croft in Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life. In 2300 BC, an Egyptian Pharaoh found a place he named The Cradle of Life, where we, life, began. And then he found the box, the box which brought life to Earth. The Pharaoh opened the box, but all that was left inside was the Ramante, or anti-life. The plague, which came as the companion to life. It leveled the Pharaoh's army. The Pharoh's son dispatched his finest soldier to take the box which then he transported to the end of the world. 2,000 years later, Alexander the Great reached India, where his army was ravaged by a plague after one of his man found a box around somewhere there. Alexander felt that the box was too powerful to be trusted to any man, so he returned it to its home, The Cradle of Life. It has not been seen since. Alexander found the Cradle of Life by using a map that was with the box, a map he then hid from the world in the Luna Temple. The name he gave this map was "Mati", and the literal translation for the word "Mati" is eye.
If it is opened or destroyed, all of the world's hope will vanish. When the box was destroyed in the destruction of the Warehouse, the hope within was also lost. Without hope, the world economy suddenly crashed, riots broke out in major cities all over the planet, and hundreds of people committed single and group suicide. Without hope, fear takes over and chaos follows after it. The brain starts producing far fewer endorphins, natural pain and stress relievers, and as a result, people start seeing the world in a much duller context. The box was destroyed along with the entire Warehouse by the House of Commons Masonry. However, Artie was able to restore the box and the Warehouse by going back in time through the use of Ferdinand Magellan's Astrolabe.
  • Pandora's Box (パンドラの箱, Pandora no Hako?) is a Noble Phantasm possessed by the Pandora Class Card used by Erika Ainsworth. It is a box granted to Pandora by the gods, but she was instructed to never open it. It contained calamity and despair, although it is said that only Elpis (『希望』エルピー, KibōErupī?) would remain after it was emptied, and her opening it out of curiosity released all the world's evils across the land. Although she quickly shut the lid, humans came to know famine, disease, and strife as a result of it being opened. Eplis was left in the box, and although its true nature is unknown, it is interpreted as being something like "hope", "premonition", or "precognition." It is said that humans were saved from being wiped out upon it being closed. There is another theory that blessings came out of the box rather than despair. It is being utilized by Darius Ainsworth as a Holy Grail, a wishing device created by deities from the Age of Gods that surpasses a normal Holy Grail. While the legend of Pandora exists in the Ainsworth's world, the legend of her opening the box is absent. It is not mentioned in the books of Greek history, and even a well-traveled person like Shirou Emiya has never heard of it. It is suggested that the box was never opened in that world, allowing the Ainsworths to hide their goal from people of that world. Julian is attempting to have Erika open it, but she has failed thus far. Gilgamesh hints that he needs two Holy Grails, Miyu Edelfelt and Illyasviel von Einzbern, to accomplish the task. Technically a pithos, it first appears as a large black floating cube floating over the Ainsworth estate, but it is later compressed to a small cube able to fit in Erika Ainsworth's hands. It is extremely durable, able to withstand Kuro's Noble Phantasm arrows without a scratch. The first thoughts of someone looking on is that it is "not meant for human hands", and it is related to the reason Tanaka wishes to destroy the Ainsworths. Only the sword produced by Tanaka transforming her hand shows the ability to stop it. Erika calls it an "arrow of fire", the world's truth that passes judgement on counterfeiters like them.

The place also has a broken vehicle and dinosaurs buried in the snow. In the end of the round the mammoths fall and aren't seen again. In the second round the box unleashes its power, creating a giant energy circle in the sky and spreading bright lines in the ground. Its power breaks the fence around it and causes its remains, the Jacks, and the vehicle to fly around the box. The lines spread to the dinosaurs, which revive and start moving, apparently trying to escape from the snow. In the end of the battle the lines on the ground disappear, causing the dinosaurs to stop moving, the objects around the box stop spinning and go out of sight, and the circle on the sky vanishes.

  • Pandora's Box is an artifact of extraordinary power, which is a given considering its nature as a small fragment of the Ten-Tails' power. Takama reveals the process in creating the item was incredible risky. After all, the cube is a byproduct of his Mangekyō Sharingan technique, Shintōshu. However, the truly difficult process was acquisition of the Ten-Tails' power, which meant he was forced to confront it. Fortunately, finding the source was comparatively simpler than expected. Following the Fourth Shinobi World War, the aggravation of negativity in the environment which the war occurred and thousands lost their lives, a new Zero-Tails was created. Using the remnant and transcendent chakra of the Ten-Tails as a medium, Kaguya Ōtsutsuki possessed this aggregate being of negative energy and thus, granted it her overwhelming power. Takama, who had been in the vicinity due to actively seeking out this strength, would be forced to confront the horrid beast. While starting off with an incredible disadvantage, upon Shintōshu managing to perfectly absorb and tame the violent energy that festered from the being, Takama's battle prowess enabled him to match and overpower the rampaging beast. Thus, Takama completely quelled the vast amount of negativity permeating from it. This enabled him to absorb the Ten-Tails' remnant chakra from its "carcass" – a plant that the Zero-Tails used as a vessel for its appearance. From herein, the power which he absorbed was completely sealed through his other Mangekyō Sharingan technique, Amano Iwato. Of course, this meant that he could no longer utilize his Mangekyō even sparingly, given that its subsequent use would cause blindness. Therefore, he actively maintained control over his newly acquired power, using it as his medium to combat truly powerful enemies.
