  • Desann is a dark jedi and a main antagonist in Jedi Outcast of the Jedi Knight Series. He is a Sith Lord and has an apprentice named Tavion. He has also a reptile-like humanoid appearance with rough, dark, skin, and is larger than the average human. Desann has superior fighting skills with the Force and lightsaber wielding. This makes him a formidable opponent for Kyle Katarn, the main character and protagonist. Desann created a strong group of warriors, trained to use the Force. As a young child, Desann was part of the Jedi Order. He was considered an outcast from the Jedi, and a youngling Jedi had once mocked him. Desann became angry, and later killed the child in cold blood. He later announced that he was too "weak" to become a Jedi, and permanently left the Council. Fueled with anger and fear, Desann followed the path of the dark side, and it consumed him for the rest of his life. Before the final duel between Kyle and Desann at the Yavin temple, Kyle had offered Desann to come and join him, as Desann had done the same thing, but Desann simply called Kyle a weak fool and drew out his lightsaber for attack. Desann was killed by Kyle in the duel, which was when his apprentice Tavion cowered and made plans for revenge.

Začal být krutý a lhostejný ke svým přátelům a někdy dokonce šikanoval své učitele. Vrcholem všeho byla vražda jednoho ze studentů, kterého Desann sám označil "za příliš slabého na to, aby se stal Jediem". Poté z akademie utekl, dříve než jej rada stihla soudit. Od té doby nikdo nevěděl kde je. Desann zatím navázal kontakt s Impériem a rozhodl stát se spojencem říšského admirála Galaka Fyyara. Společně pracovali na pokusech s energetickými krystaly, které chtěli vložit do živých bytostí, čímž by jim propůjčili schopnost ovládat sílu. Zjistili navíc, že k propůjčení síly živým bytostem stačí vstřebání síly Nexus, která se nacházela v Údolí Jedi. Ale ani sám Desann nevěděl kde se toto místo vlastně nachází. Republika se navíc dozví o tajných výzkumech na planetě Kejim a tak vyšlou na prozkoumání situace dva republikové agenty. Jedním z nich je Kyle Katarn (hráč) - republikový žoldák a ex jedi a jeho společnice Jan Ors. Oba však na bezpečnostní kameře odhalí Admirál Fyyar a podá hlášení Desannovi. Kyle Katarn z minulosti (viz Dark Forces 2) zná přesnou polohu Údolí Jedi a tak se Desann rozhodne dvojici agentů sledovat až na planetu Artus Prime, kde oba se svou novou učednicí Tavion přepadnou. Zatímco se Kyle marně snaží klást Desannovi odpor, Tavion sváže Jan a vtáhne jí do jejich lodě. Desann Kyla bez námahy odzbrojí a zatímco jej pomocí síly škrtí, intrikálně mu řekne, že kdyby se býval své síly nevzdal, mohl by být adekvátním soupeřem ale nyní mu ani nestojí za to ho zabít. Poté rozkáže Tavion aby Jan zabila. Ozve se výkřik a Kyle, přesvědčený o smrtí své společnice přísahá Desannovi pomstu. Rozhodne se odletět do Údolí Jediů, aby načerpal znovu svou sílu, přesně tak, jak Desann předpokládal. Jakmile Katarn z Údolí Jedi odletí, přiletí k němu Desann a dozví se jeho polohu. Kyle, zhroucen smrtí své společnice se vrací na Akademii, kde se od Luka Skywalkera dozví, že Desann byl kdysi jeho žákem a od doby útěku z chrámu o něm nebyli zaznamenány žádné zprávy. Rozhodne znovu se stát jedim a po zkoušce zdatnosti při které získá kromě svých schopností zpět i svůj světelný meč, začne s pátráním po temném jedim. Zatím Desann se spoustou svých nohsledů a přisluhovačů které za tu dobu získal, čerpají energii z Údolí Jedi a pomalu se tak vytváří armáda jak Rebornů a Shadowtrooperů. Desann se za podpory Impéria a jeho nově vybudované armády chystá zaútočit na samotnou Akademii a zničit celý řád. To mezitím ale zjistí Kyle Katarn od Tavion, kterou stanul tváří v tvář na Bespinu. Ta mu v zámince života prozradí i to, že Jan je ještě na živu a je držena jako rukojmí na lodi Galaka Fyyara. Kyle zabije Galaka a osvobojí Jan, ale to už Desann se svou armádou zrozenců útočí na Akademii a Kyle spěchá Chrámu na pomoc. Vzhledem k tomu, že je Skywalker nepřítomen a Desannovi pomáhá Impérium to nebude vůbec lehké. Naštěstí ani Republika nezůstane zcela mimo a posílá několik svých ozbrojených sil na pomoc obrany akademie. Po ohromné bitvě rebelů, stormtrooperů, jediů, rebornů a shadowtrooperů, se nakonec Kylovi podaří dostat až do podzemí Chrámu kde se střetne se samotným Desannem. Ten je velmi překvapen když mu Galak Fyyar na jeho vysílačku neodpovídá a Kyle mu zdělí, že jsou všichni jeho přívrženci pobyti a že prohrál. Desann se jej pokusí přilákat na svoji stranu ale Kyle odmítne a naopak po tom všem nabídne Desannovi aby se vrátil do akademie a začal od znovu jako Jedi. Desann se rozzuří a začne souboj, ve kterém nakonec Kyle Desanna zabije a tak odvrátí hrozbu zničení celého řádu.

Nearly 65,000 years before Kyle created the Universe, he used the full use of Force pwn to create Desann as the first being. Kyle's reason to create this God of the sexual arts to be the one to continuously fuck the Universe. Kyle however cursed this being to have his genitals have a spike ball at the end, Desann was at first furious and swore vengeance but later forgot as his genitals are usually otherwise "engaged" for him to glance them. He soon fell into a habit for bigger and stronger drugs to stimulate his unending need to get Funky so he found the Valley of the Jedi and snorted the Force Crystals there, but Kyle crushed the now immortal Desann under rocks from a pillar which he remained for 100 years for snorting his stash. Kyle went on to beat Zombie Jerec to pass the time, during this time Desann's bottom bitch Tavion got the Sceptor of Ragnos and made Rosh Penin her apprentice. Desann was disappointed by this story arc and in rage his dick smashed the pillars and he flew to Taspir to kill the annoying bitch Rosh Penin. However Jaden Korr got there first, God greeted Desann as an old friend and sent Jaden to live in another timeline. Desann then left for Korriban where he proceeded to Swagger through the tombs which ultimately made every Jedi and Sith very hot until they burst into flames. Upon reaching Ragnos' Tomb he proceeded to exclaim that this story arch is a worthless piece of crap, and bitch slapped his bottom hoe through time and space to an alternate dimension where no one has a dick for Tavions fat ass
