| abstract | - Dezago was a 23rd century Human male. In the mid-2260s, Dezago served in Starfleet as an operations division officer serving as relief communications officer aboard the USS Enterprise. In late 2265, Lieutenant Dezago was serving on the bridge following the Enterprise's mission to Delta Vega. He contacted Captain James T. Kirk in his cabin, and informed him that he had a message from Thomas Mitchell. (TOS - My Brother's Keeper novel: Republic) Shortly after, Dezago attended Lieutenant Lee Kelso's memorial service that was held in the ship's chapel. At the service, Dezago spoke of an incident that occurred some months earlier in which, a small survey party consisting of he and Kelso beamed down to Arronus VII, and found that a squad of Klingons were also conducting a survey mission. Outmanned, Dezago and Kelso fled into the jungle, and Dezago became injured. However, Kelso kept fighting and keeping the Klingons at bay, in time for Captain Kirk and Lieutenant Commander Spock to arrive with reinforcements. (TOS - My Brother's Keeper novel: Constitution) A short time later, Dezago was on duty at the communications station when the Enterprise arrived at Starbase 33 for Captain Kirk's debriefing with Admiral Saylor. (TOS - My Brother's Keeper novel: Constitution) Dezago was also on bridge duty when the Enterprise arrived in orbit of Earth. Dezago informed Kirk that the officers who were being transferred to Starfleet Headquarters were awaiting him in the transporter room. (TOS - My Brother's Keeper novel: Enterprise)
