  • Guybrush Threepwood is the main character in Lucasarts' Monkey Island series, and a mighty Pirate. As of 2010, he has been in the Summer Contest five times, failing to advance to the second round every time. This proves that most of the voters are complete pillocks who wouldn't know a great character if he insult-sword-fought them to death. In SC2K5, most of Guybrush's supporters pushed to get Manuel Calavera in instead.
  • A tall sandy haired man, with a wonderful nose and blank teeth and a beautiful smile. When he grin, you can see his dazzling white teeth; and when he grins... turn around and run. His left ear is tattooed and pierced. There are several scars on his both forearms from plenty of sword fights. Member and Second-In-Command of the great faction Centrepoint Space Station.
  • Guybrush speaks of 'The Big Plunge' and 'New Zealand'. He is dedicated to the ancient meditation art of Tao at Sea.
  • Guybrush Threepwood is a person noted for being able to hold his breath for a long time. In contrast the Hero is not capable of this feat.
  • Out of work since Lucasarts isn't making any more Monkey Island games (please please make another Lucasarts!), Guybrush has accepted work in our mod. According to his resume he is "Pirate Extraordinaire", captain of numerous vessels and master of the art of insult sword fighting. Guybrush was quickly adopted into the Lanun ranks where he found Falamar to be a kindred spirit. He described Hannah as a cross between LeChuck and Lemonhead of Skull Island. We aren't really sure what he was talking about.

  • Guybrush Ulysses Threepwood is the main protagonist of the Monkey Island series. He was first introduced in the Secret of Monkey Island as an ambitious, though somewhat naive wannabe-pirate. By the series' end, he had established himself as a competent swashbuckler. He would regularly be voiced by Dominic Armato. Guybrush's chief nemesis was the dreaded zombie pirate LeChuck, whom he faced throughout various installments of the series. At one point in LeChuck's Revenge, it was suggested that the two were brothers, which has since been brushed aside.

He was just trying to find out why and how to get back home.

He is also referred as "Fancy Pants". The origin of the name "Guybrush" comes from Deluxe Paint, the tool used by the artists to create the character sprite. Since the character had no name at this point, the file was simply called 'Guy'. When the file was saved, Deluxe Paint automatically appended the extension '.brush'; before the designers could think of a proper name they got used to referring to 'Guy.brush' when talking about the sprite and decided to use it. "Threepwood" was the name of Dave Grossman's RPG character and was picked through voting. The name comes from P. G. Wodehouse's family of characters including Galahad Threepwood.

At one point in LeChuck's Revenge, it was suggested that the two were brothers, which has since been brushed aside. After a long and tempestuous courtship, Guybrush eventually married the woman he loved, Elaine Marley. The two had several more adventures together, which culminated with Tales of Monkey Island. He had a number of talents and idiosyncrasies, the most well-known of which was his ability to stay underwater for ten minutes. When challenged to a duel, he was shown to play the banjo quite proficiently. He was also seen to be able to speak Spanish. He developed an irrational fear of porcelain. __TOC__
