Rusot was played by actor John Vickery.

When the plan began falling apart, Rusot pulled a weapon on Kira, and proposed that he and Damar take the weapon and use it to rebuild the Cardassian Empire of old. Instead of joining Rusot, Damar killed him, saying regretfully “He was my friend. But his Cardassia is dead, and it won’t be coming back.” Rusot was played by actor John Vickery.

He challenged Kira's recommendations at every turn, especially when Kira recommended that the resistance start attacking Cardassian-operated installations that had not joined the rebellion. Rusot was part of a small team, led by Damar, that launched a daring raid on the Kelvas repair facility, with the goal of hijacking a Jem'Hadar attack ship equipped with a Breen energy dampening weapon. When the plan started to fall apart, Rusot pulled a weapon on Kira and threatened to kill her, proposing that he and Damar take the weapon for themselves and use it to restore the old Cardassian Empire. Instead, Damar shot and killed Rusot, regretfully observing, "He was my friend. But his Cardassia is dead, and it won't be coming back." (DS9: "Tacking Into the Wind")

Toen het plan in duigen dreigde te vallen, trok Rusot een wapen en dreigde Kira ermee te doden. Hij stelde voor dat hij en Damar het wapen voorzichzelf hielden en het gebruikten om het oude Cardassian unie weer op te bouwen. Damar echter doodde Rusot; "Hij was mijn vriend. Maar zijn Cardassia is niet meer en komt ook niet meer terug." (DS9: "Tacking Into the Wind")
