After Gandalf the Grey was defeated in a duel against the Dark Lord, Ragash was seen marching out of the old fortress with thousands of Orcs that followed Azog the Defiler towards the Lonely Mountain. Upon arriving, Ragash served under Azog as the armies scout. He tells Azog that the armies are ready to attack at dawn.
