During the events of Riven (game), Gehn has Atrus's wife Catherine trapped in a prison he built on the top of the Great Tree's stump. Out of the five islands of Riven, Prison Island is the smallest.
- Prison Island is a correctional institution in the video game No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle. It is at this remote complex that Cloe Walsh is held captive under high security. Walsh is eventually rescued by Travis Touchdown, who releases her bonds in order to challenge her for United Assassins Association Rank 23. Prison Island is reached through the second Akashic Point in Santa Destroy. It is shown to very run-down, suggesting it was abandoned some time ago before the story.
- Using Dragoon form in this battle may lead to a game crash. It is confirmed that this can happen on a second playthrough, but it is possible that it may occur on the first playthrough. It is confirmed that not using Dragoon at all in the battle will fix this bug; it is confirmed that it is possible to use Dart and Shana's Dragoons in a party with Meru during the battle, as long as all party members are in normal form at the end. This is not the only such bug in Legend of Dragoon; in the event of a game crash elsewhere in the game, it may be possible to use this same strategy.

Changing the time in the game will instantly make the weather change to thunderstorm. The permanent thunderstorm weather effect will remain in Eryth Sea, Alcamoth and Prison Island until after defeating Metal Face.

As such, it has a different map design, the model is slightly different, it is treated as a different area, and is more explorable.

After freeing Shadow, Dr. Eggman and his ragtag crew of Shadow and Rouge managed to infiltrate Prison island and blow it up. Although destroyed, the island remained as a toxic waste dump.
