  • A clone is an individual created as a direct copy of another, rather like in identical twins, but with a significant age separation between the original and the clone. While uterine replicators were generally useful in performing cloning, the use of replicators was much broader. In the Vorkosigan Saga, cloning was easily done, but often was considered immoral.

  • A clone is a piece of software or hardware mostly identical to another. The best way to determine whether something is a clone, it to check and see if the original product was licensed to the manufacturer, producer and/or developer of the item in question. For example, the Bell & Howell II is a licensed copy of the Apple II, however the VTech Laser 128 is unlicensed. There are three types of clones:
  • Clone characters are characters present in a multitude of video games. Basically, they look different from one another, though have an identical or nearly identical moveset. Usually these characters are only referred to as clone characters in fighting video games, such as in the Super Smash Bros. series. The only clones in the original Super Smash Bros. are Mario and Luigi.
  • Sometimes, the clone's creator modifies the clone to give it enhanced abilities. The Dominion, Romulans, the M'Tar and humans have all, at one time or another, used cloning technology. Cloning was also used frequently in medical procedures, to replace lost limbs, or regrow failing organs. This did not require the creation of a new being.
  • A clone character is a common inclusion in the Super Smash Bros. series, and many other fighting games as well. It describes two or more characters that have nearly identical movesets with slight variations in the attack properties and/or character stats. From the developer's perspective, a given character's model can be used as a base template from which to build another, and it is usually evident which one is the "original" and which is the clone. Most clones are from the same series of games, with Ganondorf being the only clone of a character who is not in his franchise.
  • The only thing "difficult" about gaining the Clone pet is the fact that it is a Guardian's Only pet. Aside from that, it's as simple as walking into the Guardian Tower, talking to Nimrod, and purchasing it.

  • A Clone is the genetic replica of a human being, who posses all the abilities of the person they were cloned from, though the extent of which is not always the same, also the clone will not always posses the same mind, beliefs, or personality of the original. The concept of cloning has been touched upon multiple times throughout the Gundam Universe, with a variety of clones of characters having been spawned.
  • A clone was a genetically identical duplicate of a living person or creature, DUH!. Clones could be produced in a wide variety of ways, including natural birth and vat-growing in fucking huge facilities that could crank out the clones by the millions. Kaminoans were famous for their skill at producing clones, particularly the three million seven trillion, five hundred billion clone troopers of the Grand Army of the Republic. Even Jedi or Sith could be cloned.
  • The ways this spell can be abused are manifold. The Clone-spell creates a copy of a living being which will fight alongside the original, until it is slain. This copy possesses none of the intelligence of the original and basically is just a drone. In combination with the Animate spell, the caster has a potent spell at hand, since they can animate an object, then clone it, then kill it to have two of the object! The spell is not liked by many mages however, since there are disputes over if it is really virtuous to create life just to use as cannon fodder.

From the developer's perspective, a given character's model can be used as a base template from which to build another, and it is usually evident which one is the original and which is the clone. Semi-clones are characters that share some moves of another, while still having some variation in terms of moveset or special attacks. "Semi-clone" status is usually more debatable than regular clones.
  • An early, secret Human cloning project was conducted by Professor Eugene Eckhart of Illinois State University, with the help of United States Army General Cory, in order to create a new army of perfect soldiers to fight the Vietnam War. This project was halted by Gary Seven, who noted that the professor's knowledge of the human genome was far beyond that of Earth of 1970. • The technology related to cloning was linked to the discovery of the Flower of Life on Optera by the Tirolian scientist Zor. His communion with the Regess led him to uncover the secret of the planet and develop a powerful energy source known as Protoculture. This new science of Robotechnology fuelled the ambitions of the power hungry senators on Tirol who eventually declared themselves the Robotech Masters. When Zor genetically engineered Pollinators to complete the life cycle of the Flower of Life, Nimuul and his kin tasked him with creating newly formed beings. Thus, the art of cloning was introduced into Tirolian society with armies being used as enforcers and others grown to be servants to the powerful elite Masters. Eventually, this science was used to breed an entirely new race of gi
  • Clones are most often physically identical to the being from which they were originally created however this may not always be the case because clones are generally created to serve in roles that others do not wish to perform. These roles may include anything from manual labor to warfare as was the case with for the clones created for the Grand Army of the Republic. Due to these considerations, clones are often genetically modified to make them more efficient in their assigned duties.

  • Another powerful combat spell is In Quas Xen. By means of illusion, this spell duplicates friend or foe, in every detail. Although the new creature is an illusion, it fights and bleeds exactly as the original. When a friend is cloned, the original and duplicates are still joined. Injury to each is felt by the other, death to one destroys the other. Yet the two are physically separate; they have independent turns in battle and may work together to vanquish a foe. When a hostile creature is duplicated, no connection between copy and original seems to remain. Pain to a monster's clone is not felt by the monster; and death of the creature does not remove the clone. The power of mandrake root is essential to this spell; as are the illusionary properties of nightshade. To mature the root, add spider silk to bind and ginseng to heal; mix with the living energy of sulphurous ash and add blood moss for animation. When casting the spell, fling the glittering sand that results into the air. The wind will catch the granules, and where the first one touches earth, there shall the clone arise.

  • Clone is a supporting character appearing in Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky. Clone is the manager of the apple orchard. Her exact age is unknown, but she was manufactured about 930 years ago by alchemists. She has lived in Corseit for a very long time, and she has become somewhat of the one you turn to for an opinion in town. She has known many citizens of the town since they were born, and seeing the faces of the new children born in the town is what she enjoys the most. Clone is a friendly, calm, and motherly person, but she can also be stern. She often asks things straight out or mention topics others might view as too personal. She was a close friend of Miria, and looks after her daughter Escha after she passed away. She often preaches for Escha, and Escha seems displeased with how Clone always treats her like a child, no matter the circumstances. Clone is a friend of Flameu. Together with Flameu and many other comrades, she was long ago researching how to save the dying earth. Flameu made her a promise, and left behind an apple tree seedling for her. Clone took care of the seedling together with the people who lived on the ground, and it eventually grew into the apple orchard of Corseit. Clone had always believed that Flameu would return, and she drew The Great Adventure of the Hummingbird Princess picture book series based on Flameu's promise to her. However, as Flameu has yet to fulfill the promise, she could not continue the series. As the years passed, it appears as if she has begun to wonder if Flameu has forgotten about their promise. She is an automaton, but she blends in with the townspeople well. She is capable of unusually plenty facial expressions for an automaton, since she has studied and practiced human-like behaviour. She can make small changes to the storage and duplication of information, but she cannot create new creations. However, she encourages Escha and Logy to create, and tells them that helping with such things are the greatest happiness for an automaton. Since she is managing a cultivation facility located deep below the apple orchard, she is normally prohibited from leaving Corseit. Doing so would cause the facility's functions to suspend.

From the developer's perspective, a given character's model can be used as a base template from which to build another, and it is usually evident which one is the original and which is the clone. Clones in fighting games technically started in the original Street Fighter with Ryu and Ken. In Street Fighter II, they were both clones again, and later down the entire series. Many characters were based on Ryu and Ken, and this produced the term "shoto clone", in reference to their alleged martial art of shotokan. As such, many fighting games have followed in their footsteps and made a "beginner" character and a clone of it (for example, Mortal Kombat's Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile and other Ninja clones). The most popular type of clone is a fellow student or brother of the original character. Other popular variants of clones include the female clone who is weaker, but faster; the 'master' clone who is better at most aspects than the original character and the joke character who is portrayed as a hilariously ineffective take on the original character. A less common version is the biomechanically engineered clone, designed to copy one or more characters. Semi-clones are characters that share some moves of another, while still having some variation in terms of moveset or special attacks. "Semi-clone" status is usually more debatable than regular clones.
  • It is unknown whether this was intended as an ability for player characters, or just implied that some NPCs may be clones. Their presence was confirmed within proceedings during the Bethesda v. Interplay court case.

  • 8th-level necromancy Casting Time: 1 hour Range: Touch Components: V, S, M(a diamond worth at least 1,000 GP and at least I cubic inch of flesh of the creature that is to be cloned, which the spell consumes, and a vessel worth at least 2,000 GP that has a sealable lid and is large enough to hold a Medium creature, such as a huge urn, coffin, mud-filled cyst in the ground, or crystal container filled with salt water) Duration: Instantaneous This spell grows an inert duplicate of a living creature as a safeguard against death. This clone forms inside a sealed vessel and grows to full size and maturity after 120 days; you can also choose to have the clone be a younger version of the same creature. It remains inert and endures indefinitely, as long as its vessel remains undisturbed. At any time after the clone matures, if the original creature dies, its soul transfers to the clone, provided that the soul is free and willing to return The clone is physically identical to the original and has the same personality, memories, and abilities, but none of the original's equipment. The original creature's physical remains, if they still exist, become inert and can't thereafter be restored to life, since the creature's soul is elsewhere.
  • Clones an object and all children, returns the cloned object. Example: c = game.Workspace.Part:Clone() c.Name = "Cloned Part" c.Parent = game.Workspace—Clones a BasePart called "Part" and makes the cloned part's name "Cloned Part". The cloned part then gets moved to the Workspace.

  • Clone is an 18th-level ritual introduced in The Last Slave Lord under the 4th edition conversion notes. You grow a duplicate body of a living creature inside a specially prepared crystal vessel filled with an alchemical solution. Before you can perform this ritual, you must acquire the focus, a hollow crystal vessel large enough to hold the creature to duplicate. You must then spend 1 hour mixing the alchemical reagents (or residuum) with seawater, which you pour into the vessel. Finally, you must secure a pound of flesh from the creature to duplicate and place it in the vessel as well. This grisly harvest bloodies the creature and costs all its healing surges. The ritual’s performance takes 1 hour. After you complete the performance, the bit of flesh begins to grow. After 2d4 months, the flesh finishes growing into a perfect copy of the original creature. The clone remains in a state of suspended animation until the original creature dies or until the clone is removed from the vessel. When the original creature dies, if its soul is free and willing, the soul immediately enters the clone’s body. The clone awakens with maximum hit points and healing surges, as if it had just completed an extended rest. For all intents and purposes, the clone becomes the creature that died. If the clone is removed from the vessel before the original creature dies, it awakens with all of the memories and experiences of the original creature, and it has statistics identical to the original. The magic that gives the clone its life warps its perspective, and it becomes a creature under the DM’s control that hates and wishes to destroy the original creature.
Eventually, this science was used to breed an entirely new race of giant beings known as the Zentraedi who were sent to Fantoma to mine it of its untapped mineral wealth. A combination of this and the tyrannical reign of the Robotech Masters led to revolts on Tirol that were brutally suppressed by the Zentraedi who were being used as a military force. Thus, cloning was used to not only propagate Tirolian society but also breed endless legions of Zentraedi who served in the Imperial Zentraedi Forces.
  • Cloning is a process originally invented by Oprah Winfrey on Kamino. It involves the quantum vivisection of the human soul (Winfrey generally used the rich, funky soul of the late Senator Strom Thurmond) to create humanoid replicants. These automatons look, think and act like normal human beings, but have no soul and no capacity for human feeling. I fuck cows With her evil clone army, Oprah Winfrey was able to infiltrate virtually any organization, her clones posing as whoever she wishes. One of the first groups that she took over in the late 1990s was Weight Watchers. Here is one of their cunningly low-fat recipes:
  • Clone is the 188th level in Chip's Challenge 2. It was created by Joshua Bone.
  • A Clone is a described by many as an exact genetic duplicate of one of many people. The technology was first utilized by the Kaminoans on the planet Kamino before the start of the Clone Wars.
Similarly to droids clones can be produced and sold en masse making the process of producing them, cloning, an advanced and profitable industry. The Kamino cloners are considered some of the finest in the galaxy by those who are aware of their existence are dependent on the manufacture of clones, often for military purposes, for their source of income.
  • There were also natural ways to create a clone. The Lyssarian Desert Larvae for example, when injected with DNA from another organism, was transformed into a mimetic simbiot which was identical to the original donor and also carried his memories. In 2153, Charles Tucker III had one such clone, Sim. (ENT: "Similitude") The Dominion were experts in cloning, which they used to create successive copies of individual Vorta. As of 2375, Weyoun had been cloned seven times. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine) The Vorta cloning process was described by Weyoun 7 as a very delicate one. Once in a while, a clone could turn out "defective", resulting in untypical behavior, like treachery. (DS9: "Treachery, Faith and the Great River") In 2155, the xenophobic Terra Prime group created a binary clone of T'Pol and Charles Tucker III, deliberately inserting genetic flaws in an attempt to "prove" that Humans and aliens should not associate. She was named Elizabeth, but she died in her infancy due to flaws in the cloning process. (ENT: "Demons", "Terra Prime") The Mariposa colony was inhabited entirely by clones of the five original settlers. Since the colonists knew that two women and three men could not sustain a society, they looked to science to survive and turned to cloning. Future generations later referred to them as the "progenitors". However, by the 24th century the colony's survival was threatened by their limited genetic diversity because of a phenomenon known as replicative fading. In 2365, the USS Enterprise-D introduced new genetic material to Mariposa in the form of the colonists of Bringloid V. (TNG: "Up The Long Ladder" ) In 2269, Stavos Keniclius 5, himself a clone, created a giant clone of Spock called Spock Two on Phylos. Spock Two was several times bigger than the original Spock. Keniclius intended to create a master race of peacekeepers based on Spock's genetic template, but abandoned the idea when he learned that peace keeping was not necessary in the Federation. (TAS: "The Infinite Vulcan") By the 24th century the aspect of cloning seemed repulsive to some Humans, considered to eliminate the aspect of one's uniqueness and specialty. When offered the chance to be cloned, William T. Riker claimed that a hundred or a thousand of Rikers would diminish that status. (TNG: "Up The Long Ladder" ) Circa 2364, the Romulans created a clone of Jean-Luc Picard, named Shinzon, as part of a plan to infiltrate the Federation. Shinzon's RNA incorporated temporal RNA, so that his growth could be accelerated, but they were never activated. The plan was abandoned when the government changed. Much later, Shinzon would become Praetor of the Romulan Star Empire and plan an invasion of the Federation. (Star Trek Nemesis) In 2369, Ibudan created a clone of himself and killed it in order to implicate Odo. However, his plan was discovered and he was arrested for murder, as under Bajoran law killing one's own clone is an equal crime to other forms of homicide. In the meantime, a second clone of Ibudan was created in Bashir's infirmary and went on to make a new life for itself. (DS9: "A Man Alone") The Kobliad Security officer Ty Kajada ruled out the possibility that Rao Vantika was a clone after she studied the DNA reference scan analysis. (DS9: "The Passenger") In 2376, at the First Annual Voyager Science Fair brothers Azan and Rebi presented cloned potatoes. They originally had the idea to clone Naomi Wildman but Seven of Nine suggested that they try and clone something smaller. (VOY: "Child's Play")
  • "Clone" is part of the Solids group, and when touched by another element will make an infinite amount of that element. Example: If someone makes a dot of Clone and the sprinkles Water on top of it, it will rain water infinitly until the Dot Count runs out.
  • Clone is a Level Three Quantum power that allows a nova to create duplicates him or herself.
  • Clones are mindless humanoid creatures formed from giant fungi. In appearance they are short, blank-eyed and bald with pale-skin. These vacant creatures are created to harvest fungi for the Demon Princes, and come in two varieties - Workers and Warriors. The two types are very much identical to each other, with the only point of distinction being the larger stature of the Warriors, who are also armed with weapons and dressed in Leather Armour.
  • Maximus used DNA from Atomic Betty to create a trio of duplicates, (Clone Betty 1, Clone Betty 2, Clone Betty 3). He also used the DNA of three other people, Optica the Fire Witch, Destructa the Rock Princess and Roxanne the Rubber Woman, to give the clones superpowers, he also named the clones after those three women. ("The Trouble with Triplets") Queen Penelobee was a hybrid clone of Penelope, created from a mix of alien bee and human DNA. DeGilla was a clone of Admiral DeGill that he created to stand in for him until he could discover who was trying to assassinate him, however, DeGilla went rogue and teamed up with the assassin, who it turns out, was Pontifidora the Conquistadora (who he had fallen in love with upon first seeing her) to run the Galactic Guardians as their own private army. However, Pontifadora betrayed him and left him to die along with Betty and her crew, DeGilla helped them to escape and he took off, stating he would go to a place where he would be appreciated and start up his own army. Due to a malfunction in the cloning machine, DeGilla is much stronger than DeGill and can morph into a much more bigger and muscular version of himself and speaks in a deeper voice in this form. DeGill had originally named the clone DeGill-A, but the clone changed it to DeGilla. DeGilla also has pointed teeth as opposed to DeGill's normal ones. ("Night of the DeGilla Monster") Robo-Betty is a robotic clone of Betty created by Sparky, who had assembled it from a mail-in kit. ("Robo-Betty")

  • An OGame clone is a game that shares similarities with OGame (either in terms of gameplay, aestethic, or even as a general game idea). It is most often made by other publishers, unrelated to Gameforge. These games are hosted on private servers, where you can also find Clone builders, where all the other clones are based from, like 2Moons, XOrbit or Galaxy of Masters. The package is distributed free. It is OpenSource and is based on PHP and MySQL or .NET and MYSQL. A list of OGame clones can be found at gametoor.com Clones of the game also exist for mobile devices. At least one, Galaxy Empire, is popular enough to have its own wiki. The best and most populated Ogame clone right now is Stellar Universe. However, like many clones, it tends to suffer from poor English localization. In Russia, a popular clone is xCraft, a Starcraft themed variant with a number of radical changes such as multiple races with different gameplay, a storyline, controllable battles and an infinite universe.
(TOS - Star Trek: Assignment: Earth comic: "My Name Is Legion") This information was later determined to have been provided by Counter Strike. (TOS - Star Trek: Assignment: Earth comic: "We Have Met the Enemy...") Officially, the earliest experiments with cloning were performed on animals in the late 20th century. Livestock animals and household pets were commonly cloned into the 23rd century. (TOS novel: Prime Directive) Cloning technology was also applied toward the creation of body parts, which could be transplanted following the failure or loss of an original. Doctor Leonard McCoy had several of his organs cloned and held in storage, which he then received after becoming seriously ill in 2294. (TOS novel: The Captain's Daughter) By the 24th century, biosynthetic limbs could be grown without the need for such advance preparations, as was done for Reannon Bonaventure after losing an arm in 2367 (TNG novel: Vendetta), Ensign Nog after losing a leg in 2375 (DS9 episode: "It's Only a Paper Moon"), and Captain David Gold after losing a hand in 2376 (SCE eBook: Breakdowns) Cloning of whole human beings, however, was exceedingly rare -- Gary Seven once observed that humans were too socially primitive to deal with the philosophical implications, fearing the creation of a "Frankenstein monster." (TOS - Star Trek: Assignment: Earth comic: "My Name Is Legion") One of the few exceptions was on the planet Mariposa, where following the crash of their ship, the SS Mariposa, there were only five surviving colonists. With too few people to create a stable genetic base, they instead populated the colony by cloning themselves. However, after 200 years, the Mariposan society became endangered by the dangers of replicative fading, and were forced to abandon cloning as the method of reproduction. (TNG episode: "Up the Long Ladder") The extremist group Terra Prime used a technique called binary cloning to combine DNA samples from human Charles Tucker III and Vulcan T'Pol to create a hybrid offspring. The technique was flawed, however, and the clone, named Elizabeth T'Les Tucker, died in infancy. (ENT episodes: "Demons", "Terra Prime") In an effort to correct the timeline, Dr. Julian Bashir planned to clone two lifeless Cardassian bodies which had previously discovered embedded in a bulkhead of Deep Space 9, and send them back in time to be discovered in the past. This plan proved unnecessary when two living Cardassians jumped through a time portal instead, fixing the apparent paradox. (DS9 novel: Millennium)

  • In biology, a clone is an organism or cell that is genetically identical to that of a parent from which it was created. The term clone is derived from the Ancient Greek word κλών klōn, "twig," referring to the process whereby a new plant can be created from a twig.
  • A Clone is a copy of another animal or plant. They are generally made using science to reproduce yourself by using your own DNA to create a replica of yourself.
